  • Pixel 8 Pro replacement camera glass easier than it looks
Color: Pixel 8 Pro
I was actually preferring a similar listing, but this one was delivered a day earlier so I went with this replacement. If you are careful this is a pretty easy replacement. I used the tweezers for most of the removal as the glass had a spider web fracture coming from the center. Q-tips with alcohol helped with taking off the double sided tape. No heat was necessary. For safety and preparation I suggest nitrile gloves, safety glasses, a plate or surface, and then paper towels or plastic underneath. A few fractures of glass did go flying so I vacuumed the whole area with a dust buster and floor vacuum. The black double sided tape that is underneath the glass helps some of the pieces stay together and I worked my way to one edge then around in an oval. Shaking the glass pieces onto my plate that were falling onto the lenses. I used the tweezers to pull away from the lenses and use the sides as leverage and then scraped with the scalpel when needed. I continually applied more alcohol with a Q-tip around the edges to clean and also remove the black tape. If I got a little space with the glass I dabbed some more alcohol to loosen it for removal. Unfortunately I did not have another camera to film this but everything came off cleanly. Remember to remove some stuck tape from the center of the microphone but I do not think it is necessary to remove all the tape around the microphone. Once it was mostly clean of glass I used a Q-tip with alcohol, the dust cloth provided in the kit, as well as the tweezers to clean the edges and remove any additional glass pieces around the lenses. I also stuck the dust buster over the lenses to see if I could pull up any debris as tiny bits might have fallen behind the sides of the lenses. Lastly I used a provided wipe for the lenses and the glass area, the provided dust tape, and the provided dust cloth. Satisfied with the cleanliness of the phone I then applied the first replacement glass using the tweezers to pull the blue side tape off. I must have manhandled the replacement as the glass fit perfectly but i tried to press or slide it in and cracked the first replacement on the side. I had not tamped down the replacement and the tape had not set all the way so I had to repeat the process of removing the glass. The second replacement went in perfectly so I left the top tape on and used the cloth to gently press it into place. Overall probably the best replacement part I have ever done for a phone so far and would definitely do this again. On a side note, this may have been covered under my warranty but dealing with google as well as their authorized repair shop was a much bigger hassle than ordering one of these for next day delivery and repairing it. The repair itself was less time for me than even a round trip to the shop. ... show more

  • Perfect fit
Color: Pixel 8
Worked great. Just takes some time - I didn't even use hair dryer or hear gun. Just the metall tweezers provided. Take your time and be careful there will be lots of small little shards. Easy and perfect fit. Camera works like new.

  • Good Value & Does The Job
Color: Pixel 7
Relatively easy to do with a little patience. The glass isn't an exact fit to the opening it goes in (very slightly smaller that leaves the smallest gap around the edge) but it's pretty close. However, it is big enough for dirt and lint to get stuck in there. Lots of people mention focus and zoom, and I've had no issues with either. Sometimes the focus takes a second but it works. I'd give it 4.5/5 stars if I could. ... show more

  • Complete kit
Color: Pixel 7A
It has everything you need and the glass fits. Hard to say much more but it is nice to have two lenses in case of fumble fingers when installing. My camera now works well and the glass stayed in as it is supposed to.

  • Broken camera lens protector glass fixed easily
Color: Pixel 8
For not a lot of money and a little bit of close in work you can fix a broken phone camera lens protector. The kit I purchased was to repair a Pixel 8. It came with simple instructions, tweezers, exactor knife, dry/wet wipes and 2 replacement lens. Between carefully picking at the broken glass and using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, the repair took about 10 minutes. The replacement glass fit perfectly. Still have the spare if it breaks again. ... show more

  • 10 Stars it is Everything you need, super easy install, and a perfect fit!!
Color: Pixel 7
This has to be the value but of the century. Everything is included and installation was very easy. Read the instructions, watch one YouTube video then get to work and work patiently. Very straightforward and it looks and works fantastic. Just be careful to remove the old glass carefully, clean any dust, and hold the new glass by the edges when setting it into place. The glass has a little bit of glare compared to the original, probably a cheaper antireflective coating but honestly for this price point and performance I could not be happier. Google left us high and dry with the phone design so until there is a class action to force them to fix it, this is by far the best and most economical solution. All in was about 15 minutes to cautiously repair. ... show more

  • UPDATE: Super easy to replace but distorted lens
Color: Pixel 7
Fits perfectly. Tools and wipes work well. Good fit and took less than 10 minutes. Not sure if still waterproof though. Instructions not very good, but don't really need them añyway. If confused, there are lots of on-line videos. Side note: if your lens cracked because of a sudden temperature change, report it to the consumer product safety commission because Google knows it's a defect and won't fix it. UPDATE: For normal photos, it initially seemed fine. However, when I went to a concert , I was unable to get a decent zoom. It was too distorted. Later, I tried to zoom in on a small serial number of an electrical part but it wouldn't zoom on anything small. Camera zoom features are important to me and this lens doesn't allow it without distortion. ... show more

  • Camera won't focus after lens replacement.
Color: Pixel 7
The kit is complete. Mine came with two replacement pieces of glass and I used them both. After the first one, I found that the camera would no longer focus on anything further than a couple feet away. Did some research online, picked the first lens back off the phone (5 star glue by the way!), inspected, banged around, vacuumed, cleaned, etc. around the camera for any debris that may be causing the problem. Put the second piece of glass onto the phone, but still have the same problem. I don't know if there may have been some magnification on the original glass that isn't on the replacement or what the issue may be. But, while the kit is complete and easy to use, and I have glass protecting my camera, I still cannot photograph anything further than 2 feet away. ... show more
