It's larger than what it looks like in the picture, which is a good thing. It opens , closes and tilts extremely easy. The tilt is a essential as the sun moves on you during the day. The hardware seems pretty solid. I've used it a few times already, it's a pretty good product for the price. You are going to need a heavy base for this umbrella because it's tall and the slightest breeze it will fall over. I bought a base that fills with water and it still tips over with a slight breeze. This arrived overnight...It is a little sturdier material than I expected. I chose the color blue when I ordered. I noticed when I go to close the umbrella the handle does not allow you to step far enough away while it closes......It is ok for what I am using it for...if it lasts a season or two I will be happy... ... show more

Pros: Provides a nice, large area of shade and it seems sturdy. Nice color of red though we can’t comment on whether it will fade yet. The price is almost half of what I’ve seen in stores. Cons: We live on top of hill and get some pretty intense winds so I was surprised that it had NO wrap-around strap to secure the umbrella while in the down position. For us, (we’re not old, but not spring chickens either), its unrealistic to haul it in and out of the garage due to its size, so we had to make a strap, which makes the umbrella look unkept. ... show more

These umbrellas were good for about 2 weeks. After that the tilt function broke on on and would no longer stay upright and shortly after that the other umbrella (it was a pack of two) had screws pop out at the top that pierced through the the plastic material that hold it together unbalancing it and causing it to snap in half. From the pictures you can see that the one that only tilts is now breaking. The plastic is coming undone and will snap in half like the last one did any day. This is just the worst umbrellas. They are just creating waste and costing us trips to the dump. Find something else. I can’t even say one was good and the other better. They were both TERRIBLE. Not sure what other people are talking about, but other reviews tricked me into buying. Don’t be fooled. ... show more

I love a 9' umbrella - and this one is no exception. Draped it with outdoor tent-type netting and it holds the netting perfectly. Beautiful color and so far, you can be underneath it when it's raining without getting wet. [That might change over time.]. We’ve have been ordering this brand of umbrella since 2016. I love the neutral color and they last a long time. We lived in the valley with heavy winds & extreme heat temps so we’d have to replace ours every other year but now that we’ve relocated, we’ve had the same one for almost 3yrs.

It arrived in an undamaged box and is complete and works as it should. We really like the color of it and it looks great on the deck.
