Great value. If you’re looking for a higher quality movement, buy American. But if you’re making casual clock projects, these are for you. Only brought one red seconds hand so I painted the 2nd one and it looks and is working fine.

    • Good Product But...
It's a good product for the price. Exactly as described and I like that it is quiet and the second hand has a smooth movement. They would certainly get more 5 stars if they included instructions and packaged the clock hands better. Currently they just threw the hands wrapped in flimsy plastic in the box with the clock mechanisms and metal hook. If they wrapped the clock hands in stiffer cardboard, there would be less bent clock hands complaint. These are easy and cheap fixes the manufacturer could do.     • It's thin like the rest.
It was thin like the others I've seen before they don't hold up their garbage but with a little creativity I got it working. What I liked about it was the variety and there's a red second hand in there that's tight kind of old school looking I love it. Originally bought this because of the length it was pretty long but I found another whole set that provided even longer arms and so I'm using that it's a little bit better. The mechanism itself is good. Used them for bourbon barrel lids and did have to use a router to sink the mechanism about 1/2 into the back but that helps the clock hang better. My disappointment was with the hands. They are small especially for a long shaft mechanism. We also had to use pliers on one of the sets to even get the minute hand to fit. The only set with a minute hand that actually fit on the shaft without enlarging the hole is set shown above. The price was great and I can use but will have to use a design that moves the numbers inside the clock to make it look right. ... show more

    • BOO!! Move on! cheap Hands don't fit!!
Ugh!! I would pass look else where! not worth the trouble. I was looking for a silent, high torque clock motor, and "settled" for these because of the longer threaded shaft,and the many choices of hands! So frustrating! after a delayed/Late delivery. I was restoring a large, old, fancy wall clock! so found these motors I thought would be perfect. But the Biggest Problem is, the stupid assortment of hands Do Not fit!! Aaaarghhh! not one of the sets work!! either too big or small, NONE of them fit! unfortunately, I bent/damaged the all hands trying to install them on the motors! MOVE ON! these are Cheap chinese made trash! !dBuy from a clock site these are good for nothing!!! don't waste your time!(pun intended) only good thing is the longer shaft worked or fit. but what good is it if I can get the hands installed. The box came with the pieces floating all over it. While nothing got damaged it very well could have as the hands are pretty flimsy. My biggest complaint is the hands were hard to attach to the clock. The holes were not cut big enough and if you are not careful you will bend the arms. There was no instructions so thankfully the amazon post has them. The paint also chips easy. Overall they work but it took some effort. ... show more
