I test it by filling an empty bottle & nearly filled with water. Pumped the stopper like it was suggested & laid it flat in the fridge. Over an hour later, no spillage. I find it to work best when U pull down on the collar & pump the air out.

    • Easy to use and works
I kept losing the stoppers on my old conventional one, I assume when I drink too much wine (allegedly) and throw the bottle away with the vacuum stopper left in it. Hey, don’t judge me, life happens. This thing works equally well and is harder to lose when you are wine happy.

    • Good, can’t really tell how much -:(
The good: Very simple to use. Just place it on top of the bottle, press it 10-15 times and you are done. It does create vacuum inside the bottle. This is apparent for when you open the bottle you hear the air succeed in. The bad: There is no way to verify how efficient is the vacuum. You just guess when to stop pressing and how much vacuum is left after 1/2/3 days inside the bottle. From some experiments I did looks It is quite good for 1-2 days. After that you better press the vacuum creating button again since air drips in. So if you don’t bother with that I suppose the wine will be preserved for 3-4 days max. Otherwise I suppose a week to 2 weeks is a reasonable time to preserve the wine with that stopper being pressed every other day or so. ... show more

The first stoppers I've ever used that actually keep wine fresh after first use. I haven't had success with previous stoppers. This works and there was no degradation in taste the next time I had wine. I highly recommend.
