This is a sturdy little holster which can accommodate various sizes of handguns. I'm using a Taurus G3 which is similar in dimensions to a Glock 19. This holster is also designed for smaller guns. I wouldn't recommend using it for anything larger than this. There are stitches around the trigger area which are designed to be removed to fit larger handguns like the G3 better. Since two holsters came in this pack, I removed the stitches on one, and left the other one as-is in case I get a smaller handgun in the future. The holsters each come with smaller and larger snap-on elastic straps to secure the gun in the holster by the tailpiece. I use the larger one for the G3, although the small one can stretch to fit. The pocket in the front has a Velcro strap which can accommodate the G3's 17-round double stack magazine. The belt clip can go on either side of this symmetrical holster, allowing for ambidextrous inner or outer waistband use. The fit is fairly comfortable, but due to my body shape and size, carrying a larger handgun with this holster does have some challenges for IWB use and avoiding printing. For a smaller handgun, I think most of these concerns would be minimal. For the price, you can't go wrong. For my particular body/gun combination I probably wouldn't use this for everyday carry, but it would be a convenient option for outdoor use or when dressed with more layers. ... show more

    • Remarkably good and feature packed. And can't beat the price.
To get two universal holsters, that can be worn IWB or OWB, and at less than $12 is impressive enough. But, for them to be as good as these little holsters are, is simply remarkable. The holsters themselves are fabric, so the edges are sewn together. And here's where the impressive bit of magic comes in. A universal fit holster should fit multiple pistols within a general size. But all pistols are a bit different. So, to accommodate those differences, they have sewn the top back opening of the holster (at the trigger guard) in such a way that if the opening doesn't fit, you cut the threads holding it together and it opens a bit to accommodate a bit larger size pistol, or one where the trigger guard just didn't fit into the initial opening. I know what you're thinking (heck, I did too), it's just going to tear open the rest of the way now that you've started cutting seam threads. But, they sewed in a reinforcement point to at the end of the expansion space to prevent just that. So far, I see no indication it will fail. To wear it, you slip in a metal clip to either the inside or outside of the holster, which gives you the option of wearing Inside OR Outside the waistband, all in a single holster. For me, retention when moving around is important; I want it to have to be an intentional move for the pistol to come out of the holster. To that end, there is also an elastic strap that snaps in on both the in and outside and holds the gun in place (two straps actually -- one for each holster). Finally, it has a small magazine (or knife) pouch on the front that is also secured with a permanent elastic strap that closes with velcro across the top of whatever you put in the pouch. Wearing it is not bad at all. Just clip it over your belt. And the clip will accommodate pretty wide belts. With my belt at 1.75" there is a little bit of play, but not so much that it concerns me. It can be a bit tedious to remove the holster once you're done because of how strong the clip is and how the two bottom ends of the clip mesh together. But I'm not complaining. To me it just means this thing is not going to fall off. So, for a very small amount of money you get not one but two pretty great holsters that are about as universal as you can get (in the compact range), and with a lot of features. So, if you want, you can set one up for IWB, and the other for OWB. Huge bargain here. ... show more

    • Work for my needs
So I'll start that these are more "generic" than "universal". I have several pistols (Glock 43x, Srgfld Hellcat, & Shadow CR920) that I cycle through for personal carry. All of them will work in these holsters "ok". The material is nylon and, apparently, you can cut these down to your needs. I didn't and use them as-is. Overall, I'll eventually end up buying IWB holsters that are made specifically for each firearm. For now though, I'll continue to use these. For the price, these are definitely worth it and I'd recommend. ... show more

Overall I'd say this is a great way to store your pistols if you don't have dedicated holsters for all of them. It's well-priced and reasonably secure for storage purposes. It fit all the guns I tried between - pocket pistols (kahr) all the way up to compacts (HK). There's no chance I'd try to carry with these though - it's way too bulky and insecure when compared against kydex or leather holsters.. or even the belly band type holsters with thumb breaks. Pros: trigger is mostly protected from being pulled material is pretty durable won't scratch your gun fits a nice range of pistols light and thin profile for storing for transport cons: the button system is extremely slow (no thumb break) to deploy the backstrap holding the firearm in is too stretchy - allows access to the trigger in some cases prints really badly if you try to carry magazine holder is mediocre compared to the rest - looks like the midnight shift made and attached the magazine portion onto the rest of the holster... it's thin, crappy, and generally doesn't look/feel like it belongs on the holster. ... show more

These holsters are a great deal for two of Them. They appear to be well-made. The extra magazine fits perfectly. I really like having the storage for the spare magazine. I am currently using these holsters to store two of my pistols. The fit is perfect.
