TV xStream Media Nov 21, 2021 1:54 AM These 2 item did not work. When I installed either one, my fire stick did not see the USB drive. And yes I did format the drive to Fat32. What are you trying to do with the flashdrive? Nov 21, 2021 7:18 PM I'm simply trying to expand my storage memory on my firestick. Supposedly I should be able to see the USB drive when I go to the 'my fire TV' section so I can transfer some of my apps to it and thereby open up more memory from the firestick itself, but the USB drive which I installed through your product doesn't appear anywhere. Nov 22, 2021 9:48 AM OK, it is not that simple as plugging in a flash drive. You can only expand storage on the 4K firestick, other versions will not work. To expand storage the usb flash drive AND the Firestick must be formatted together. There are tutorials online on how to do this. if you have other generation or version of firestick that are not 4k. you can see the flash drive but not use it as storage. You can use it to store movies on the flash drive (downloaded from PC) to play from or to download apps to the flash drive and transfer them( install) them onto the firestick. You must use an app that can see the files. I recommend Total commander app to view the usb or any files contained on it. The firestick by its itself will not show you the usb stick, use a file explorer app. Nov 22, 2021 6:02 PM I do not have a 4k firestick. When I ordered your product there was nothing mentioned about the that requirement...if so I would not have made the purchase. The only reason I wanted this was to be able to expand the storage capacity of my firestick so I could transfer apps to an USB drive and free up space on the firestick. Therefore I request a pre-paid return label so I can get a full refund. Unless of course you have a product that can do what I explained so you can send it to me in place of the ones I received. You have gathered this information from somewhere else but we do not say that. No product will do what your asking unfortunately otherwise they would be in high demand and we would sell it. firestick storage is a big issue for most people. Sorry you did not get what you hoped but hopefully amazon changes the firmware on the firesticks an allows access to the storage Nov 23, 2021 12:13 AM Well if you had mentioned that your product works only with a 4k firestick to expand its storage and not with other firestick I would not have purchased your product. I would think that kind of information would be important to potential buyers. Don't youthink? (You surely implied it), you wrote in your ad its "compatible with streaming sticks", and I do believe my firestick fits that description. Nov 23, 2021 8:44 AM The adapter does work on your firestick to add a USB port. What I'm saying it s that your firestick storage is not expandable. I use these cables on all my firesticks (even non 4k versions) as it adds a USB port so I can use an Ethernet adapter or add a wireless keyboard. I can also play movies from the USB port though VLC player. ' Basically, what you are trying to do is not possible because of your firestick, not the cable. Thanks ... show more

Let us set the expectations... * although the device may work, the USB device you are using may not be supported by the streaming device you are using. This is not a detraction from the cable. Some devices are not supported by Linux and Spin-off OSs like Android. When I first started to write this review I couldn't get my perfectly working PNY 32G USB2 memory stick to be recognized in either cable, on either of the FireSticks. Replacing the PNY with a Similarly Spec'ed SanDisk Cruzer 32G USB2 memory stick and it works great. I see someone knocked the product for not having an instruction sheet. It is a cable. Do you get an instruction sheet for an Apple Lightning Cable or a Micro USB cable? No. You plug the devices in the only way that they can be plugged in. The manufacture has no idea what device you are plugging this into or what OS it is using. For support of the Device to use this cable... you would have to go to the device manufacturer. That said, You just plug in the device the only way possible. You can do a search on YouTube and find plenty of examples of people plugging in the device to the power, and then into the Streaming stick and plugging in the desired USB device. But it is really self explanatory. On FireSticks, you will have to download a FileBrowser to access te files on the Stick. ES Browser is the one I downloaded. You cannot download directly to the stick. You cannot "Upgrade" your Firestick's internal memory, just add the removable memory. Meaning, you can transfer files to the stick. You can watch movies from the stick. But if you run out of internal memory while downloading a movie from your favorite legal streaming service with offline support, your download will fail. I have not tested Keyboards or Mice yet. Just Memory sticks. If your memory stick fails to work, it is probably not supported by your device. ... show more
