I have used several of these to light up my garage, basement, and shop. They are extremely bright and flexible so you can adjust to cover all those dark areas. If you've never used this type of fixture before, sometimes pointing the LEDs to cover those dark areas puts the beams at an angle where they are shining in your face and is distracting or blinding. Overall though, these are great. I've been using a set of these for more than a year, which is more than I can say for a "13 year" lightbulb that I purchased that only lasted 6-8 months. Excellent illumination for a standard 2-car garage. Our builder put the light sockets pretty deep in the garage (not centered front-to-back) but these had no problems lighting the entire garage. I ordered two more for my attic.

Wow these lights put out a mess of brightness, just screw into a standard bulb receptacle and aim the 5 paddles. I added a basic ceramic receptacle ($4.) to my ceiling boxes and my garage is now lit like a surgical suite.
