  • What an improvement!
I didn't know I needed these, but they've made a big difference. I have a Kitchenaid Professional 660 lift bowl mixer that I use all the time and like a lot, but depending on what I'm using it for, it sometimes makes clanking noises and misses mixing the very bottom of the bowl. When I saw these, I had an AHA moment and had to try them. They're easy to install. Just twist the spring on around the little nub, twist the washer to open it and slip it on and you're done. The spring and washer were installed in two minutes flat. Then the test: The attachments are held firmly in place and there's no more jiggle either the shaft or with the attachments. If you have a Kitchenaid stand mixer that doesn't have the spring, you need to get these! ... show more

  • A small improvement that is easy to accomplish
KitchenAid stopped adding these springs a few years back probably because the torque of the mixer running holds the blades in place, and it saved a few cents per item. And while I have owned KitchenAid mixers for over 20 years and have never had a blade come off, I have experienced an issue when mixing dry goods that include nuts or chocolate chips where they get under the blade which causes more noise and probably makes it longer to mix evenly. I decided to give these a try. They are pretty easy to install and come with the instructions. However, if you want more detailed instructions there are some videos on YouTube that go in depth. I had them on in about two minutes and they do put downward pressure on the bayonet lock for the blade. This should make it less likely to jump over things while also further ensuring the blades stay in place. It will take more than a few uses to really determine whether this adds significant value, but since it was previously a part of the product my suspicion is they could help. ... show more

  • Fits my KitchenAid stand mixer perfectly, easy to install
I was kind of ashamed to show in my first two pictures how unsanitary I allowed the spring and washer of my KitchenAid stand mixer to become. The pack of springs and washers I received were three in the package. I didn’t feel the written instructions, picture three, was adequate, so I watched the how-to video at the Amazon website to know how to install the spring and washer and it was very helpful. The hardest part of installation was removing the old gunky spring. After cleaning, the new spring easily went on the shaft using a twisting or screwing motion; the same with the washer. My mixer worked perfectly after installation and my only regret is not getting this product earlier. ... show more

  • Works great!
I hate trying to clean off my attachments and it coming off. This completely stops it from happening

  • These springs make the tools fit more firmly and are a welcome addition to our Kitchenaid Mixer
We recently replaced our old Kitchenaid Mixer with a newer model. The old one came with a spring and washer that put tension on the tools installed on the mixer shaft, however the new unit did not have these. When we saw this 2 pack of springs and washers, we immediately ordered it for our new mixer. It greatly improved the fit of the tool and makes them more stable in use. The materials seem good, and it was easy to install. Having an extra set provides extra value. We are delighted with the product and with the difference it makes in the stability of the tools. ... show more

  • Great value!
I received 3 sets instead of 2. How did they know I had 3 mixers?! 😂 Thank you so much for the extra set! Followed the video on this listing on how to install it, no problem at all! It does make my attachment more secure. I didn't even know I needed these until now. You get 2 sets (or 3?) with this. Great value! ... show more

  • Nice to have on hand
My KItchen Aid is closing in on 20 years old and still going strong...however, I have noticed some signs of age, like on that little spring thingie...it's looking distinctly the worse for wear with some rust coloring on it. The last thing I need is to go into baking/cooking season and have a mixer failure. This item comes in a two pack and fits as described; most importantly, it provides peace of mind. ... show more

  • Works like it should
The media could not be loaded. This product does exactly what it is designed to do. It keeps pressure in the attachment to keep it in its place. It take a little effort to install but its not hard. Looks like it will last.
