Works great for tape in hair extensions. I was able to remove all my tape ins within 30 minutes using this remover. I saturated the tapes, waited around 30-60 seconds as per the instructions, and they came out very easily with minimal pulling. Easy to wash off with shampoo afterwards.     • Removed Wig, Glue, But...

I tested this out on my hand to make sure there weren't any skin sensitivities or issues with it, as well as to see how the product interacted with a strong bond wig glue plus stocking cap. I used UOG wig glue, which has a strong bond, to test. That being said, I used only one coat. To that, I applied a nylon stocking wig cap, which stuck fast. Then I applied a coat of this wig glue remover, and was pleased to see that after letting it sit for just a few seconds and then massaging it in gently as though it was lace (I do not want to damage my lace fronts!), the nylon released. It would take another coating of this and some more work to remove the glue, and if there were multiple layers of a strong glue more time to sit and work in, but I think it does what it says it will. That being said, I'm not a fan of the ingredients. The first one listed is "Hydrocarbons" -- yuck. I don't see that listed anywhere on the product page. The citrus? Yep. And the coconut? This isn't coconut oil, but coconut fragrance oil, hence the "coconut scented" in the product description. It's basically like a scented candle with ingredients that I'm not thrilled about soaking into my head, so I'll be using this sparingly. ... show more

Used these to remove the glue from my half up half down install. I didn’t have any protection on my braid for the ponytail i glued onto my real hair so I was worried how I’d get it out without damaging my hair. I applied a generous amount of this product and waited about 5-10 mins and it came off with ease and dissolved the glue amazingly. I was able to manipulate the thicker glue pieces using my hands all without losing my hair. I love the fragrance. It's citrus oils in a coconut carrier oil. It smells amazing. I used two test extensions with new tape. I wasn't sure it would hold up to new tape, but it did. I rubbed a couple drops on each extension, waited about a minute and then rubbed them to release the glue. One came out completely with minimal effort. The second one came out, but some of the tape came off in my hair. Another drop and it came out immediately. This makes tape in removal so easy. ... show more

I haven't had the opportunity to use this on hair tape adhesive, but I can definitely say it works to remove stickiness and residue. I happened to have a run in with super glue and saw this figuring why not give it a try. Every time I use super glue I regret it because I end up wearing it on my hands for a few days even after attacking it with acetone which I hate doing since it's so drying. Anyway, I put a few drops of this in desperation and voila! It came off after less than a minute! If it can remove super glue, I'm not worried about it removing hair extension tape. ... show more
