I liked this toy, but there were 2 issues I had with it. First, it came in with a broken blue piece. The little blue plate thingy just fell off and exposed the microchip under, I don't think it's very safe. The other issue is the songs are not very clear-i can barely make out the words, and for the baby I'd prefer a toy with clear voicing to help with speech development. My 18-month-old granddaughter loves this toy. I didn't give her the sticks. She hits everything with her hands and with her feet. I took the microphone off because it doesn't work. It got in the way, and she just would take it and through it, so I eliminated that distraction. She loves the drum and cymbal sounds, and they are not too loud. The best part is the volume control. That is very important to me when choosing noisy toys. It has been holding up well (I tried beating on it myself a bit to see how durable it was) and the kids really seem to enjoy it. The microphone sometimes is getting used in place of the drumsticks to beat on things....but as long as they are having fun it doesn't really matter. Haven't had to change batteries in it yet so battery life seems good as well. ... show more

purchase this musical toy for my 1yr nephew when i say he loves the lights and the sound. one day i tried to take it away from him can u say he scream and yelled until i gave it back. i guess he going to be the next stevie wonder

Kids loved it! I do like that it has a volume control. The kids loved the drum part the most, but they also had fun with the keyboard and other options. My only recommendation would be to move/rethink the microphone. It kind of blocks one of the drums. I think the idea is to leave the microphone in its stand and to sing into it at the same time they're playing the instrument(s). My kids just wanted to hold the microphone, leaving the stand in the way of the one drum area. All-in-all the kids loved it! ... show more
