I cannot get over how lightweight these earrings are! They look like they would be so heavy, but I can wear them all day without any discomfort. I don’t have any issue with the backs. I actually think the larger diameter, as compared to the typical small back, is more supportive. As I’m writing this, I’m thinking I might try them on some of my heavier earrings! Reading the reviews, I see that a main complaint is the little plastic pieces for the ear post WHICH are very hard to put on. I like them though when they go on because they are nearly invisible from the back which is more important to me when I wear my hair up. Besides for that, I have the little broad earring backs that are sold on Amazon, to make your heavier earrings lie right against the lobe. If I ever lose one of the little plastic buds- I will just substitute with those backs. The main thing is that the earrings are light, inexpensive and give you the look of gold without the price which would be about 600+ in this economy. (Ask me how I know.) Anyway- there are days and times for real gold and days for a gold "look". I wouldn't say these are dainty, nor would I say they are chunky. They give my normal sized face a nice complement of scale and movement... which is desirable in an earring. When possible, it is always more flattering to wear an articulated or moving earring so that attention is not focused on facial area flaws (which we all have). ... show more

Cheaply made earrings. They are more like plastic. The posts were bent when I received them. You're better off getting earrings from discount dollar store.
