  • Good Economy Knee Kicker.
This worked well for removing the wrinkles from the low pile carpet in my renters house. Its aluminum frame is lightweight but strong. The teeth have a good grip and do not bend or break as has been reported on some of the other economy knee kickers. On the downside, the handle grip is not particularly durable and the knee pad appeared to begin coming detached after several hours of use. I believe these minor problems can be resolve without much effort. It also comes with a nice teeth cover for safe storage and handling when not in use. Overall, it seems to get the job done. ... show more

  • Works great for small job!
I had to pull a corner of my carpet back for flooding and this was great for putting it back! The pad came right off but didn’t matter for a corner of a room and a closet.

  • New
Carpet stretcher was exactly as pictured. had really sharp spikes. Fortunately, my poor tired knee gave out before the stretcher did. Had to hire a professional.

  • Does what's necessaroy
I had a simple, one-time carpet job to do and found that renting a stretcher would cost 2/3 of the price of this stretcher, which was also delivered to my home. I had peeled up about 25 square feet of carpet that had gotten wet that I needed to dry out. This stretcher was just what I needed for this and will be useful if similar small needs arise in the future, so I count it as a very good purchase. I would not recommend it as the sole stretcher for carpeting an entire house because of it's size and weight, but for smaller jobs it is great. Delivery was also very satisfactory, and I overall could not be happier with my experience associated with this item. ... show more

  • IT works but...
The product works but the knee kicker has a cheap foam pad that fell apart the first day. You will need to find a modification to soften the blow on your knees.

  • Cushion knocks off
Well, it's cheap. The carpet stretcher has a metal handle with a plastic spike strip that grips the carpet. A small square cushion protects the end. Unfortunately, after two or three knee knocks, the cushion bounced off. If you are unwilling to mutilate a kneecap, the workaround is to use a hammer on the pad end. Wear ear protection - the clanging is deafening, but it does shift the carpet. The metal plate also seems to be tearing away from the handle rivet after about an hour of work. It will work for a short repair, but not for long-term use. ... show more

  • Did the job well
Used for laying artificial turf. Did the job quite well.

  • Well made and durable
We had several places in our home where the carpet had stretched to the point of leaving a small wrinkle that was visible. Otherwise, the carpeting was fine and I didn't want to replace it just for miner wrinkles, so I tried using this. The short answer is that it works. The degree of stretching of the carpeting has a bearing on how well it works, but it does work. I would imagine that if you knew what you were doing (which I don't) that it would work very well. It's well made, very durable and can take quite a bit of abuse. At this price it's certainly worth a try rather than replacing stretched out carpet. Recommended. ... show more
