Two features of this charger make it really handy. One is that it weighs under 5 pounds. Two is that the power cord is nice and long. I'm using it to charge a trolling motor battery, and I can just leave it in the boat and hook it up rather than having to lug it closer to an outlet. It's fast and quiet as well. ... show more

If you have a 36-volt 18-amp golf cart then this is the simplest solution for charging in the long run. Instead of plugging into the output cord receptacle on the seat you simply connect the output cord on the charger to the included dongle with o-ring connectors, attach the black negative to the outside negative pole, then do the same to the other side of the battery bank with the red o-ring connector to the positive pole. Then attach the 5-pound lightweight little charger with screws to the underside of the seat, and then the charger is ready anytime you need it. Simply plug into a wall outlet, and the 4-step charger takes care of the rest with the "smart" charging software. Your batteries will typically charge within 4-6 hours, and then you are back on the links or the road. OVERALL -Simple is best. Keeper! ... show more

If you've got an older golf cart you may not realize that the original charger that came with it is really inefficient. These newer Chargers do a much better job of charging and cycling your golf cart batteries while staying cooler and without the loud hum that older charges make. I was actually looking for an onboard mountable charger so while this isn’t exactly what I was looking for I decided to give it a try.
