I would give this a 4 because although it is so beautiful it is a little more difficult to get it right. If it is scraped the finish gets messed up, if you rub it more than one time it gets a dark mark. Also put it down right the first time because it can get ripped if not super careful to unstick/restick. The "black" is more like a dark dray or pewter, so it didn't quite match with the project I was trying to use it for. Additionally, it was VERY thin. It ripped within 60 seconds of me placing something on top of it (I was trying to cover the top of a cheap cube storage unit). Lastly, the adhesive is not strong at all. On the plus side, the lack of adhesiveness made it really easy to work with and reposition, and there was almost no bubbling upon application. If you are looking for a contact paper that is relatively temporary and you are going to put it on a surface that isn't used/touched often, it might work alright. I saw mixed reviews for this but thought I’d give it a try. I have to say that I’m really pleased with the finished look! I would recommend that you cut it to size before applying it because hand carving it was very time consuming, but if you enjoy putting in some work it’s fun. It is thin and flimsy to work with, so it bubbles/creases easily, and then it is impossible to remove. It tears with every pull. Into tiny little shreds.
