  • Safe and effective!
Style: 250 Amps
Used as overcurrent protection on a 12v inverter. No complaints, and it doubles as a shut off switch for the system. Avoid electrical fire and buy it.

  • ambiguous specs
Style: 150 Amps
This is a question for the seller, but I don't see a way to do that so it is a review. I need a breaker for a 48v nominal system, which it appears is the spec for this device in the product description, however there is no product sheet that came in the box and printed in the front of the breaker, it says "48v DC max". Strictly speaking, a 48v nominal system will necessarily operate over 48v (usually around 52v). So the question is: does this breaker work for a 48v nominal system? It's a great value if so and it seems well made. I'll change to 5 stars if I get a response confirming it's compatible with a 48v nominal system. ... show more

  • Installed with ease
Style: 50 Amps
I ordered this circuit breaker for my trolling motor on my fishing boat. I was able to install the breaker with ease. It has a large reset lever that is bright yellow on a black background for easy identification. I would prefer an auto reset. All works well.

  • Great for automotive installs
Style: 100 Amps
I run a variety of accessories on my Jeep. These are things that were not included from the factory but which I have added at various times over the years. This includes a mobile ham radio, a GMRS radio, a small subwoofer and amplifier, a winch, a few offroad lights, an inverter, etc. You get the picture. I used this breaker to take a chance to clean up the main electrical feed to the accessories and add a degree of protection to the main electrical feed. It was worked very well. I sized the wire properly for my needs and use the load side going to the accessories to run to a fused terminal strip. Think of the 'main breaker' on your house with all the individual breakers going out to all the individual circuits. This item is my 'main breaker' Anyhow, the lugs for connecting the lines are solid and I torqued them down significantly. I do understand one other comment I saw regarding protective caps or arcing concerns and I think those are valid concerns, however unlikely to be a factor. Still, a couple of protective caps would be well-placed if supplied. All in all, I calculated my overall power consumption to typically run well under the 100 amp rating, but max nominal would be very near the rating of this 100A capacity. So far, this has performed flawlessly. ... show more

  • Either these are speced incorrectly or my unit was defective.
Style: 250 Amps
First, while it's rated for 250 A, it consistently tripped out after a few minutes at 100 amps. Second, the voltage drop across the unit at 100 amps was .4 volts, which is unacceptable in a 12 V system. I didn't install/test it til after the return period-- oh, well. Update-- I changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars after the vendor reached out to me and sent a full refund-- even though I was past the return date. I think they need to improved their quality control (assuming my unit was defective rather than mis-spec'ed) but recognize and appreciate their superior customer service. ... show more

  • A must have on any solar array
Style: 200 Amps
At any and all times you should have a circuit breaker in line with the batteries and the Charge Controller on any system. I ordered this breaker for my out building solar array to protect against battery shorts or storm damage causing shorts, You should never take a chance in building any electrical system to provide power to a building. I did one time accidently trip this breaker while wiring up a battery cable to the system and due to the breaker tripping it more than likely saved me from something getting damaged or catching fire. There is no cost for safety but this breaker cost very little compared to a burnt down building. ... show more
