The beauty of this little 7"x4" 6-pound charger is you literally can take it with you. It will fit easily under the seat, and with a 16-foot charging cord, it's easy to plug into a wall outlet anywhere you can find one to top off your charge. Operation is simple. Just plug it in, see the flashing yellow indicating it's in a standby state, and then plug it into your cart outlet. It will flash green while charging, and at 100% will go solid green and then shut off the charging. It's IP67 waterproof and also resistant to dust and pollen and has built-in software protection against over or undercharging. The charger will work with or without an On Board Computer and has a diagram of how to easily rig a bypass with an 18 gauge wire bypass if the OBC is malfunctioning. I ordered this charger because some of our friends are located a fair ride away. We have a large neighborhood and enjoy visiting friends. The cart we have is fine, but with the hills, it puts a strain on the battery. It's nice to have the charger with us. We can plug in when we arrive and we're good to go when it's time to leave. Nice that it features a carry handle. The charger works well and charges fairly quickly. We can use this charger if any of our friends needs a charge. My last battery charger bit the dust so I had to find a replacement that had the 3 pin plug. This one is a third the size and weight of my old one which makes it so much easier to use. Its more quiet than my original charger that made humming noise when charging. Price is reasonable as used units are twice as much and a new one at the local golf cart shop was $450. ... show more

Sports the features that you're going to look for in a reliable charger. You've got a cord of more than an adequate length, which makes all the difference when comparing it to cheaper chargers with shorter cords. The charge time isn't too long. But the important thing you really want is that the golf cart is going to keep that charge well. Because there are chargers that do work quickly, but the cart can burn through that charge fast.
