I ordered these ‘1250 PCS Hidden Deck Fasteners for Composite Decking’ to use with the new deck I will be installing in the spring. The OEM fasteners are quite expensive, so I figured I would take a chance on these as these fasteners seemed to be available at a good price. I am very happy with both the quality and fit of these ‘1250 PCS Hidden Deck Fasteners for Composite Decking’. Looking at them and trying a couple of them out, they seem to be just as good as the OEM fasteners are. The quality of the plastic used in these fasteners seems comparable. And they do fit the groves in my T**x decking boards fine. There may be a tad more play in these fasteners since they are not brand specific. But it’s not a big deal. I tried these ‘1250 PCS Hidden Deck Fasteners for Composite Decking’ on a couple of pieces of scrap composite decking I had, and I was satisfied with how the fit the groves in the boards and held them in place. The included screw guide works great. And I do like that there are two bits included. The only difference I can see between these ‘1250 PCS Hidden Deck Fasteners for Composite Decking’ and the OEM ones is that the screws may be a bit thinner. I don’t foresee that being a problem however. In summary, these ‘1250 PCS Hidden Deck Fasteners for Composite Decking’ are a satisfactory replacement for the OEM composite fasteners.
