I don't mind it being thinner but there are strips of paper withing the paper or it is peeling apart and sticking to itself so that part is unusable ... and for like 6 to 10 ft at a time then it clears up till I hit another patch so far this roll it has happened about 5 times = 50 feet ruined out of 300 so far and only halfway through the roll ... I bought this tape to mask wood boards before cutting them in the glowforge. It does a beautiful job. It’s the perfect state of tackiness-not so sticky that it won’t pull off and leaves residue, nor so weak that it won’t hold the project for you to cut. My top tip: use a brayer. As you place the tape on the board, use a brayer to keep air bubble and wrinkles from forming. Brayer from the center out to the edges. This gives you perfect coverage and perfect adhesion every time. And the price is phenomenal. At the I bought it, it was 13 cents a foot! ... show more

    • Works well for masking laser cutting material
I purchased this product to mask my wood and MDF I cut on my laser to prevent scorch marks. Overall, it does the job well. It sticks well enough to stay on and protect the material through cutting, keeps the scorch marks off the material, and comes off fairly easily without leaving any residue. It does require a bit of playing around with settings to cut all the way through the material and tape if you mask the back, but that's not a big deal to me. ... show more

    • Absolutely one of the worst Transfer Tapes on the market.... it doesn't work as intended
I am eternal optimist and gave this transfer tape, (which I bought back in Oct 2023) enough time to prove itself to me, and I have found this product to be worthless. I wasted my money, and my time trying to get it to work for my laser engraving projects. It rips prematurely, peels the second layer of the tape on the roll which causes the stickiness of the top layer of the transfer tape to be null and void. It doesn't fully adhere to the substrate that I'm engraving. I've wasted more product trying to peel it back just to try and find enough usable product to use on my projects, which have proven to be a dismal failure. Using this tape caused me more delays in completing the jobs I have to do, that it's just not worth my time, effort or money in trying to find something redeemable about this worthless product. I read all the 1-star reviews and I can totally concur with all the problems that the previous purchasers of this product experienced. This is the worst transfer tape I've ever used. I'm curious to see if the company that manufactures this product will reach out and make good on their product?? I wondered if maybe the company had a bad production run when mine was made. Regardless, I can't waste my limited resources of money and time to even consider buying another roll of this particular transfer tape from this company. Save yourself from all the headaches and don't purchase this product! ... show more

I bought medium tack and seems to work as expected. It picks up most of vinyl off backing but there are some stubborn spots . Overall good tape decent price for the 12"x300yd roll. Would recommend 👌
