    • Great, temporary adhesion!
I purchased this not for transferring vinyl letters, but for transferring ceramic mosaic tile. I didn't know if it would work well, but it indeed did it's job well. My mosaics are custom and laid out on paper first. Using this material, I was able to apply it to the surface of the finished design, and lift and move the mosaics over onto the board to which they would be mounted. After being glued in place and with enough time for the glue to dry, I'd remove the vinyl without trouble. This material worked great as I need to see the mosaic design to best install it on site. The traditional way is with brown paper and paste. It's got some limitations. If you choose to use this for a similar purpose, here are four tips: 1. Make sure you are not moving more than about a square foot at a time. If you design is big, divide up the design into pieces around 12" x 12". The clear vinyl allows you to see your design when you reassemble it as it's glued down with thinset. Cut apart at the grout lines. 2. Make sure to burnish down the vinyl. It sticks best to the ceramic surface when pressed with a burnishing tool, the type used for vinyl letters is the best. 3. Only apply the vinyl when you are going to glue the tile in place within a day. The vinyl sticks well to ceramic only for a day or so. After that, it looses it's ability to stick, and your tiles will fall off the back. 4. If you leave it on the installed tile for more than a week afterwards, and it is being walked on, it may do the reverse of loosing it's sticking ability and stick so much you'll need to remove the adhesive with acetone. I re-ordered this product through my shopping history. This film is about 1/3 as thick as the last stuff I had and doesn’t seem to stick as well. It’s so thin that I can’t cut it by itself with my guillotine cutter. It just gets folded around the blade. I will find something else next time.

    • Good value, switched from TransferRite, no regrets
It's a bit thinner than I'm used to but no big deal. It sticks well but not so well it lifts the decal when applying. Return customers have reported they prefer it over the TransferRite. I don't really miss the grid, I can work a bit faster since I'm not wasting time lining everything up. Overall, the bang for buck seems to be there. IT WORKS, maybe a little too well... For my uses of applying vinyl to screen printing screens, I would like it to release a bit easier. I'm not sure I'd buy this again, because it is TOO tacky for my uses; however, if you are applying to any conventional surfaces, this stuff is great. If this company made one with less tack, 👀👀👀 I'd be all over it, What a deal! ... show more

    • Bought twice, not the same
I bought this about 2 months ago and was so excited when I received it and noticed that it was almost exactly like another brand I was buying, but this one cheaper and arrived quicker. Win, win, right? I ordered a second on because I go through them pretty quickly. Very very disappointed when I started using the second roll. Not at all like the first roll. The first roll was thick and easy to work with. This second roll is a nightmare. I can not wait until it's gone. It's like working with plastic wrap that's sticky one one side. It is so THIN!
