I bought two of these frames for some black and white photos of some trips we took. I thought they were perfect for how I wanted to use them. There is tape on both sides of the "glass," which is actually plastic. There are black marks on the tape that actually stain/mark up the plastic. I had my pictures all set up in one of the frames when I noticed the marks. I took everything back apart and used some water and a soft cloth to try and get them off. Nope. I used a touch of windex and a soft cloth. Nope. I used the light touch of a magic eraser. Yes. But, the plastic seemed smeary and marred. How ridiculous! Just leave the stupid tape off or make it clear. ... show more

Only 4 stars, due to the transfer of too many of the recycling symbols from the plastic protective covers on both sides of the frame picture face, also plastic. Soap, water or Windex did not remove same, and since it is not glass, I chose not to get heavy into it. It can be seen, and I'll accept it as such. ... show more

The frame is plastic but it is for my kids room so it will probably be better that way. When I pulled the plastic film off the plastic frame there was an imprint of writing that wouldn’t come off so that was upsetting.

UPDATE: After writing my initial review, the company reached out to me and offered to issue me a partial credit for the problem. I accepted, appreciatively, because I chose NOT to return them. I used a black sharpie to color the white matte background so the faulty print would not show up. They’ve already credited me :) INITIAL REVIEW: These have a protective sheet on the plexiglass, which is great until you remove it and it leaves black ink print from the piece you peel off. My daughter and myself both had to COLOR THE WHITE matte black so it didn’t show up. Two separate orders, same exact problem. For $54 NOT WORTH IT. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This was exactly what I was looking for! I bought 12 postcards and wanted to showcase them. To do this I needed to use take on the back of the cut outs. I think it turned our really well. I think it's a great value for the money. It's light weight but sturdy too.

I needed a 12 slot picture frame for my baby's monthly pictures & this was perfect. I love that all the frames are in the same direction. (All vertical or horizontal) I have such a hard time finding horizontal pictures so this was perfect. The package did say when you peel the protective layer off it helps the pictures stick but it did not work for me. I had to tape each picture down which I have to do with pretty much all my frames but it's easy to open & close so I wasn't aggravated when all the pictures fell when I held it upright lol worked for me ... show more

As other reviews (that I failed to read in time) mentioned, this frame’s “glass”/clear plastic isn’t usable due to the film imprinting an obnoxious recycling icon all over both sides. At this point, I’d expect most people to simply return it and find an alternative, but this is a pain and there aren’t many better options for the price. Fortunately, I found that you CAN clean the glass with Windex and some diligent scrubbing, but it takes a while. If you do this, you should ideally peel one side of the film and clean that side thoroughly. Otherwise, you’ll have a harder time figuring out which side of the glass needs to be rescrubbed for any spots you missed. All in all, this was a big pain, and only slightly more convenient than bringing it back to a UPS Store. If you haven’t bought this yet, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re desperate. If you’re like me however, and you’re only reading the reviews after receiving this defective product, maybe you’ll decide that cleaning it is better than dealing with the hassle of a return.
