I purchased these zip ties for use on an outside fabric fence. The ties are on the thinner side and would deteriorate due to the strong UV sunlight in my region of the country. If you want something durable, find a different brand. These ties are probably better suited for indoor use, rather than outdoors. Works perfectly, typical tie wrap. Width of tie is surprisingly narrow for a 12" tie. Notice shorter but heavier 6" tie to left in pic. I use these for general use at home and in shop. Retired (80) so my large projects have fallen by the wayside but I wouldn't use these for heavy electric cable and so forth of concern for ability to hold the load and not break. These are terrible. The plastic is very brittle in they don’t withstand even the slightest resistance. They snap and the tongue in the small box that is supposed to close on the toothed band also breaks right off so they are essentially useless as a fastener for anything. I bought these and the black ones shown in the product description and they are both junk. Keep scrolling for better quality. Waited too long to request a refund!! We wanted to create a stuffed animal chair without using any glue. I saw a recommendation to use zip ties so we ordered this pack of 100. We used one or two per toy and were able to secure them all very well to the wire mesh chair.

    • Sting enough to use at many places
Best part about these ties are that they are plenty to do about anything and a great price. I prefer a heavier weight. I use mine to tie down fold up dog crates and lawn chairs on our way to camp. I wasn’t sure if the strength was enough so I doubled up so it might be cheaper for me to buy the heavier weight. They did work perfect for my last trip. I will use these to holding gated together in my yard. For that I will buy them again. ... show more

Great price! I looked at getting these same type of zip ties at Ace and they wanted $20 for them! No kidding. I’m so glad I checked Amazon. I don’t know how well they’ll hold up, but they seem substantial. I got them to secure lattice onto the railing around pop ins my balcony to keep to adventurous kitty from attempting another daring escape. The ties I used initially weren’t made for outdoor use and have all started to break apart after over a year of being exposed to the elements. These appear to be as advertised and for the price, I don’t mind if they need replaced eventually although I don’t expect they will. ... show more
