Just received this baby doll-VERY fast delivery!! When I opened the shipping box, I was a little taken aback by the look of the doll box-yes, it is traditional girlie pink, but most of the information is not in English, and it just gives off a weird vibe. However, the doll inside is fine-she's small (easy for a toddler to hold), has a cute face, and is wearing an adorable outfit, including the ubiquitous headband! Mine thankfully did NOT have a dent in the forehead (as others have mentioned). For gifting, I might consider ditching the scary box and go with a bag! Overall though, for the price, it is just what you'd want for a little girl's first doll! ... show more

Lots of people don't realize how very tiny premature babies are. My church group knits and crochets things for these little ones in the NICU, and this 12" doll is about the gestational size of a 28 week infant. I plan to use this baby doll as a guide for sizing the items I make for my church group. Of course, I will need to adjust for earlier and later gestational ages, but seeing how my items compare to this doll will help me a lot in knowing how much bigger or smaller my items need to be. There are no photos of this doll in the item description showing it without its headband, so I don't know whether it's a defect, but the doll I got has an indention in its forehead. That won't affect what I need to use it for, but if you're getting it for a child's toy, be ready to explain that babies don't always have a dent in their foreheads. It's really cute. The eyelashes are soft as feathers and the eyes themselves are a beautiful blue with realistic colors in the irises. It comes with a pacifier that will not fit in the opening in the mouth, but if you needed it to, you could enlarge that. It's really very sweet. ... show more

I've ordered this doll before, just in different clothes, and the quality is consistently good. She measures the full 12 inches in length and is completely made of somewhat soft, hollow vinyl. Not as realistic as the reborn dolls, but decent vinyl. The head and limbs pose very easily and the doll is made to be gender neutral. Her coloring is nice, and I really appreciate that they gave her eyelashes and socks. Usually with the smaller dolls, they neglect these details, but it makes a difference in the appearance. The outfit is a soft, knit one piece, made to look like overalls. It has Velcro in the back, making it easier for little hands to dress her. I'm happy to say that the headband is not attached to the doll's head with tags. This is an issue I've noticed with the smaller dolls, as well. Included are her bottle and pacifier, with the pacifier fitting into the hole in the back of her mouth, but just barely. It doesn't stay that well, so I'm going to tie it on with a ribbon around her neck or wrist. All in all, I'm pleased with this little cutie and recommend her for younger kids. I received this baby doll by BDDOLL, and thought that it was just okay. There was really nothing special about this doll. It came with barely anything substantial to really call assesories. It was made of hard plastic. It wasn't really cute, or soft. It was true to size. But, I'm not sure if my niece will really even like it.
