Being that the strips are made from a polyethylene foam material and not styrofoam, rubber, plastic, steel, clear acrylic, fiberglass, vinyl, or polycarbonate they can withstand high heat. Each strip inserts seamlessly at the edge of most metal roofing systems and creates an almost decorative look in the way they blend into the shadow of the overhanging roof, acting as a perfect foam underlayment. In addition to all of the aforementioned features and benefits, these strips have a joiner (fasteners) on each side, allowing them to dock and clamp onto the endpoints of one another, making sure they stick together and can continually form an extension of one another. These do not come with sticky self-adhesive fixtures.
