I have quite a few tools, but seldom have a need to anything metric. Bought a pressure washer and it uses metric sizes and was difficult to assemble, even with multi-pin fits-all sockets. That device just wasn't good enough. So I bought this set of sockets and disassembled the pressure washer to correct a minor "sign" installation error, and of course the metric size worked perfectly. This is not an expensive set of sockets, but seems to be decent quality in a reasonable box, and I've replaced my 50-year-old Craftsmen sockets that I've carried around in a heavy metal (!) tool box. So, if you've been thinking about adding metric sizes, I'd recommend you buy this sooner rather than later. ... show more

    • Nice, METRIC and specialty set, very complete, some oddities, seems good quality
Size: 1/4" 1/2" Drive 108PCS
This is a nice complete set of Metric and 'specialty' sockets. However it does NOT contain any SAE (inch) tools, so if looking for those, look at other products. It does have several uncommon 'specialty' sockets and bits which will be very nice for some users while others will never need them. (But it is nice to have them as they may be hard to find if you do unexpectedly) The combination of 1/4" and 1/2" drive allows covering a wider range of sizes than a 3/8" set with minimal size overlap. The ratchets are fine tooth, with smooth operation, quick release buttons and easy to use direction levers. They have rubbery comfort grip handles, which MAY get sticky to hold in a few years, (based on experience with other products) but will probably pick up enough 'mechanicing dirt' not to be a problem. The other extensions, breaker bars and similar accessories also seem OK The sockets are 6-point (good, as those are better to use than 12-point) and seem good quality, as they have comparable wall thickness to my old US made Craftsman thin wall sockets. They have a 'satin' finish, and the stamped markings are deep and easy to read (though not as good as some laser etched ones I've seen) There is not any overlap in the deep socket sizes, and only in 10-14 in the regular depth - which isn't all that bad to have. The set includes "E" sockets (E4-E24) which are a sort of female version of Torx bits. It also has a bunch of 5/16" hex bits, with a 1/2" socket for them, which extend the sizes usually seen in 1/4" bits - useful! The 1/4" hex size bits are a bit unusual in that they are all glued into 1/4" sockets, which is a bit of a mixed bag since those bits tend to wear out as disposable items. However it looks like worn bits could be pressed out of the sockets and new ones glued in. They include Pozix bits as well as hex, Torx and flat / Phillips screwdriver sizes, and only 3 small L wrenches The blow-mold case is a bit on the large size, but is well laid out, and nicely marked as to what goes where. I did find many of the bits hard to get in and out of their pockets, but that will probably improve with use. It would be better if the lid had a way to hold it open around 90* as opening the case out flat takes a lot of space. I suspect that I may end up finding other more compact socket organizers and tossing the case, but... Overall a pretty good set, at a price that is a good value compared to other comparable size sets. ... show more

Wow, this is a comprehensive kit. Tons of options and multiple sizes of ratchet handle. The case itself leaves a little to be desired, but for your average joe, this is a great set. Even though the case is not top notch, it’s still great to have to keep your stuff clean and organized.

i have a couple little battery power impact wrenches and these pair with them just right, i work on cars a lot and these have a permanent place in my tool box its that simple for me, probably would be for you to. one thing is that i do see were some mentioned that the magnets aren't strong enough but that's not the issue for me they are plenty strong enough the issue is that some of them were not pressed deep enough in the socket head so they don't all catch the bolt the same i haven't had any nuts or bolts fall out yet though infect i can usually reach for one of these if i need a little more reach grabbing whatever socket i dropped and picks them up so i think they are pretty strong. ... show more

Great assortment of sockets, 1/4 ratchet broke first use though. Would recommend for its price but plan to buy separate ratchets. Other two have held up but barely used them.

These are "great" but they are better than average. Most importantly, they are metric only.. 108 pieces of metric is a broad coverage. Another important thing is that only the pieces on the top of the case snap in place. Open it upside down and half the contents will pour out. The ad mentions the but I forgot. I have stickers on it now to point ot the up. This has torx, shallow and deep sockets. The 90 tooth sprocket has a great grip and tiny. increments. In tight places that helps al lot. I also like the matte finish. It's so much easier to start a nut or bolt when I can get a grip on the socket. It comes with extensions, a T bar, screw bits and a solid case. It's really fun to just put pieces together. Everything clips together well. Tight but not binding. Loose but not sloppy. It's in regular use here now. ... show more

These tools are not the best quality but they are a good starter tool kit for a homeowner. This set comes in a blow molded case with compartments for each tool. When I first opened the box only a few tools were out of place, so that is a good sign that only about four items fell out of its spot during shipment. However, the left latch popped off the second time I opened it. It easy popped back on, but that tells you something about the overall quality of the kit. The tools themselves are chrome vanadium steel, which is fine for hand ratchet use, but don't hook them up to your impact wrench. There are a lot of tools here and that makes the case somewhat heavy. This is an all metric set with 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive ratchets and sockets. If you need all three sizes of ratchets, this is probably a good option for you. Thinking about how much I will use these, I'm not sure I would lug this kit around with me. I would probably just grab a smaller set of tools that is less cumbersome and heavy and leave this one on the workbench. But if you need a variety of sizes and accessories, this kit might be a good fit. ... show more
