Pro: Kids love them (ages 2, 4, and 10). Print quality is good, vibrant. The blocks will hold a few different positions (they don't have to be perfectly even, but I can't get them to hold a half-block position). Although you have to be careful, you can position blocks horizontally (though there's a limit). Con: Magnets seem (to me) to actually be a bit stronger than the typical building cube, but it'd be nice if they were stronger. It helps to use magna-tiles as a base or for support. The cube dimensions are as specified, but seem small; I placed some popular kids toys for scale. Most of the advertising models are built using multiple sets. As of this writing, the regular sets specify how much of each block comes with them. It doesn't seem like enough for the price, but the sellers are clear (except that I could not find the same specifications on the frozen set). Images: These structures are built with approximately 154 cubes (100 regular and 54 frozen). I placed toys for scale. In the other image, I tried to show some horizontal construction. Honestly, I can't believe I got that far before the kids destroyed it/borrowed pieces to build something else. ... show more

I bought two sets of these. One set first that did not say, and even seemed to go out of their way not to say how many were in the set [48 as it happens]. A small box, though I think they call it introductory somewhere. No, that is not enough though and I found that deceptive. But when I got them, I loved them so I bought this bigger set that had 100 pieces. So now I have enough for my grandkids to share. If I get a windfall, I might buy the Frozen set too, but I'm good for now. I buy Brio and Thomas train and legos too, so I know some things just cost a lot. These also will last a long time, like legos and our trains, you can pass them down from kid to kid. I can keep them on a shelf for my grandkids and any other kid that comes around, and to play with now and again myself. I love the rattle sound and the feel of the clack as each pulls together. I think they stick together decently well and I was able to build a tree with pieces at an angle as well as the basic side to side. I think these would be great for kids or adults that like sensory amusements. Nice to run your finger across, kinda has a fuzzy slightly lifted feel. It is a plastic texture but feels good, and is well built. To save you trouble, I read lots of reviews and these and the one's with TNT pattern are not the same size. I did have a hard time deciding because I loved the flower pattern on the others but went with bigger. I have a young grandson and thought bigger would be better. They are still pretty small though, so do keep that in mind if you have very little ones. Almost but not quite one inch per side. ... show more

9 out of 10. My 8 yr old autistic son loves this!!! He loves using his fingers to build and create so this is perfect. He creates his imaginary worlds and I love watching. The magnetics are strong. Texture is a smooth, vinyl feel. The only reason it's a 9 out of 10 and 4 stars is its a little pricey and the kit needs little magnetic people/pets to bring the world to life. These look a lot like the Minecraft game and we bought some of the minecraft figures and it’s really fun to recreate the world outside of the video game! They’re magnetic and cling together as they should. The design is pretty and looks like these will hold up to use really well. Highly recommend!

Bought these for my minecraft loving kiddo. He absolutely loves them and they magnet together very well. They don't stick together if you pick up and move it but they came just as described.
