The cord has been adequate. It's easy to work with. So far, it seems quite strong and durable. If you want to use the cord repeatedly, you'll want a better device to wind it back up. The cardboard spool is fragile, and not meant for reuse.

I wouldn't normally write a review for paracord, but this isn't just paracord. This is akin to Wonder Woman's golden lasso. The first length of cord I cut from this spool had me feeling powerful. I was going to use it to hang a line for my tarp tent, but the next thing I know I'm lassoing some criminals trying to rob a bank. I don't know where the Golden breastplate and skirt came from, but it just felt right (my wife definitely had some questions though) I'm getting way off track here. I use this cord when cutting trees and lowering large limbs and it works great. Now I know what I am doing, so please do not try this without training. I like that it is thinner than standard rope used for the same, but if I have to double or triple on lines, they still lower very easily, sliding across my slip joints, and it is very manageable. I would use it anywhere you need to lash something down, knowing the rating of the rope, and not trying to make it do something over it's specs. ... show more

I purchased 100 feet of three different colors from this company. It is thicker and more stiff than 550 cord. Very useful with the higher weight tolerance. As a side note, my cat's love the orange color. Had to cut some pieces for them.
