The loctician felt they were a little too stiff for her so she washed and prepped them first. They are still a little rough and I have had them in for about a week but with a little mousse they are loosening up. My scalp as been itchy since installing these but I have that issue with all hair installs. All in all try it it may work for you.. The hair was nicely packaged got here early than stated. I washed the hair before install and once installed I added some wax color to it. I had locs a couple of years ago and didn't want to go through the ugly stage again so I got these extensions and they look like mine. My husband and I are very happy!
