The level of sheerness is the same I couldn't read my yardstick numbers through it, yet it should let in plenty of light as curtains. I received my order yesterday as expected. I ordered the 10 yard option, in natural, for $36.99. I was very hesitant to purchase this muslin because the price was only $3.69 a yard, but I figured I could always return it if I didn’t like it. To my surprise, the fabric looks nice and it has a great feel to it. I’m pleased with the quality because my intent is to use it as my background fabric in a couple quilts. The reason for only giving to 4 stars is because upon opening the package, which was double wrapped nicely in plastic, the fabric had an immediate odor that is very strong and unpleasant. I was not intending to wash it until the quilts were finished, but now I will have to wash it before using it to make sure the smell does not linger before giving the quilts as gifts. ... show more
