    • Entry level tablet with barebone Android.
This entry level tablet is probably only good for watch videos and online classes etc. The screen is pretty bright and good enough for most indoor conditions. The speakers work ok. It has a good amount of memory to keep apps open but everything will be a bit slow due to the slow CPU/GPU. The shell has a little flex to it when holding on the edge. I suspect a good fail will crack the back of this easily. Given the size of the battery, the tablet surprisingly doesn't last very long. A half day watch videos will probably drain all the battery. The body also gets warm quickly after 15-30 min running some light games or 1080p vide. I really wish this has fast charging. The tablet is OK for basic needs but definitely not worth $150. Current $110 afte couon is about fair, as long as you are not very picky about built quality. Obviously, amazon fire is a much better alternative, but you'll have to do some tricks to have google store. update: the touch screen of mine starts to get unresponsive after 10 months of regular use. First one row doesn't respond to touch completely. I remove the protective screen which seems to somehow made it worse, the rest of the screen becomes insensitive to touch frequently and sometimes double touches. It seems screen problem is a common issue based on others' reviews. I contacted customer service on Amazon via chat for warranty claim. The process included getting a shipping label to ship the faulty unit back to an address in CA. Kept the customer server updated once the faulty unit was shipped. And a replacement unit was shipped to me. The total process took about 2 weeks. And the replacement unit is sealed in package and looks brand new to me. It's not as convenient as amazon return within a month but can't be asking more for a $100+ tablet with 2 year warranty. The current price of $100 makes it a great deal if you don't worry about an older OS and slightly slower tablet. My rating is upgraded from 3 to 4 star based on the positive warranty experience and reduced price. ... show more

I bought this tablet to replace a much older one that could no longer run many of my apps. The price was good. Jren has been making photo frames for years and said they wanted to break into the tablet market. Over all the tablet is nice. The two main issues are support and a weak operating system. There are fewer settings than most tablets. The whole OS seems like a scaled down version with no tools to help. The first problem I had is the touch sensitivity at the edges. The screen has objects right to the edges. The problem is that much of the navigation is very small and set right at the edge. I usually have to hit the button very many times before it works. The bigger problem is that the time zone cannot be changed from China. I spent over a month now trying to get tech support to understand that none of their procedures or options work. The time zone will not sync to the network and there is no enter button to manually set it. It takes a week for tech support to reply and they keep repeating what is in the manual, which doesn't work. The time zone may not seem like a big issue, but setting appointments and reminders on email calendars records the time 12 hours off. Some of my apps will not work in China and use the time zone to verify, so I can't use them. If you want a tablet for the kids, the price is right. If you want a tablet for social and productive tasks, this isn't it. Revised to 3 stars. The tablet isn't bad, the support is. The tablet is just mediocre. ... show more

Man, I have a bad track record with cheap Android tablets. More often than not I consider my ownership of them a brief step between the manufacturer and the ewaste facility. HOWEVER this one really surprised me! It works quite well. I wouldn't try gaming on it, but the ui is sprightly and the tablet is up to the task of webpages and most apps I threw at it. A few (notably some meant to control IOT devices) weren't happy with it and just kind of didn't run, despite being listed as compatable in the Android store. The main drawback of this thing is the CAMERA BULGE. Oh heck man, this thing would be great if it weren't for that. The camera lump is huge, keeps the tablet from sitting flat on the table, and has sharp edges that make it uncomfortable to hold on to. Do they sell a case for this? ... show more
