I'm honestly so upset that I wasted money on this thing! I ordered it early for my son's birthday, as he's been asking for a violin for months. I don't even know what the sound quality is like, because it's so cheap that the tuning pegs won't stay in place. It also came with a broken string holder on the bridge. It's absolutely worthless, and he spent an hour tonight crying because he couldn't use it. It's just pretty junk! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have played for 20 years so Im a bit picky. When my 3yr old begged to play and then begged for 2 more years I decided to give this violin a shot for her to begin lessons as a bday gift. Decent price, it's NOT a toy, and looks like mine. I was expecting it to sound a bit off but I was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful sound and the quality. They even emailed extra downloadable instructions and tips. She had wanted a sparkly violin but nothing was her size. We got vinyl removable stickers safe for her violin and she is absolutely in love. For younger ones I recommend a bow right guard and bow hold buddy. The bow is alright (make sure to rosin it really well) but I may purchase a separate one, just because I like sparkly carbon bows. I'm not a fiddle player. So maybe for 80 bucks or whatever it costs, its sufficient. Mine came with lose parts on the fiddle itself. The strings were off the bridge pushed to the sides. The bottom pickup i guess you would call it ? The fine tune thing is very lose, moves side to side after strings are tight. Thought it was just black, it has glitter in the finish. I will say. It came in a awesome case. Packaged with care. Also comes with everything you need to get started, literally everything.
