well made, metal, looks good. fits in most applications perfectly. and able to adjust the depth of the screw somewhat. There was too much screw sticking up for my thermal monocular scope so i took the screw out with 2 small Allen wrench locks and used a grinder to shorten it. Works really well for my application. Keep in mind the orientation of the wide base to the go pro mount. I would benefit more from a 90 deg turn. that would allow up and down positioning from the go pro section instead of side to side. ... show more

Well designed and well built. It’s the best design when screwing the base can’t be done when the base twists against the device. This is the case on the newer GoPros. This is a sturdier camera mount for the GoPro than the fold out mount that comes with it.

As a power user of action cameras (GoPro, Insta360 Ace Pro 2, Insta360 X4) and cell phones used as cameras, I'm very pleased with this adapter. Everything works as it should, and all the dimensions and threads are correct. The knurled knob has a couple of holes that can be used for extra holding power (to make sure your camera doesn't fall off) by inserting something into the hole (e.g. a hex key) and then using the extra leverage of this "handle" to crank down the knob more. ... show more

Four stars because it works, if not elegantly. My Akaso Brave comes with a plastic housing with a GoPro type mount, I presume. I don't use the thing. Instead I use the adapter that screws into a standard tripod. Therein is the the rub. So after much lookings...and mebbe it's just me and I'm missing something I decided to try the MINIFOCUS Gopro to 1/4" Adapter. In and of itself it's fine. So I attempted to mate it with what is most likely a standard 3 slot Go Pro type doohickey on the headband mount that I also ordered. Long story short the MINIFOCUS Gopro to 1/4" Adapter didn't adapt. So after much fiddlings I managed to squeeze in the MINIFOCUS Gopro to 1/4" Adapter into one (uno) slot for the solve. Ok...so got it mounted. Ok.... The reason for the 4 stars is that I can't get the thing to tighten down so my camera is sitting up there loosey goosey. Can't figger that one out. It pretty much stays where you put it if you're careful not to bump it, but I can't stick it. It's loose in the old swivel. Regardless, tried out the system yesterday, and for the Rube Goldberg it is, it works. Mebbe you'll have more luck. ... show more
