  • Easy to install; great directions
Size: 5/16-18 x 15mm
I wanted to install these to attach some locking swivel casters on the base for my router table. The directions provided were very helpful. I ended up assembling an installation and removal tool. The coupling nut opposite the threaded insert is installed loosely in the drill press chuck. By "loosely" I mean that the chuck jaws hold the nut in alignment but the nut is loose enough to slip. The insert is installed by tightening the nut next to the insert. If the hole for the insert is the correct size (tight, but not TOO tight). the installation tool can be remove by loosening the nut closest to the insert. If the hole isn't snug enough, the tool can be removed by holding the shaft and using a wrench to remove the lower nut. These inserts worked great. They were just what I needed to get a great looking caster installation. ... show more

  • They Work Pretty Good
Size: 1/4-20 x 20mm
Internal threads could be a little cleaner but they get the job done.

  • Seem to be good enough
Size: 1/4-20 x 15mm
Havent used yet but do not seem to see a problem coming. Good for the price and amount.

  • Excellent quality
Size: 1/4-20 x 20mm
Great quality inserts I bought them for a subwoofer box I made unfortunately the one I bought was too big and I wouldn’t have enough room in order to install them. However I used them for another project and they were easy to install and had no issues threading a machine bolt into it. Way cheaper than the ones at Lowe’s 2 for $3 ... show more

  • Hey insert is solid installation method vs. screwdriver
Size: 1/4-20 x 15mm
Local hardware store costs for inserts is outrageous. Brass inserts are better looking but more likely than not get covered-up during assembly so why pay the price. Brass occasionally get buggered-up too unless you make a bolt and locked nut jig to insert them.

  • Solid and Stable Anchor Points
Size: 1/4-20 x 20mm
These inserts provide rock solid anchor points for mounting a pair of commercial grade table legs into the underside of a heavy duty table top that will be moved to different locations over its lifetime. The 1/4" x 20 machine screws will allow the legs to be removed and remounted multiple times without tearing out the wood. ... show more

  • Great value for money
Size: 1/4-20 x 15mm
Much cheaper than buying from the big box stores. I used a dab of super glue when installing to make sure they stay secure long term.

  • Well made and easy to install
Size: 1/4-20 x 10/15/20mm*150pcs
I used three 1-3/4 x 4" wide red oak cleats on the bottom side of my 2" thick oak work bench top instead of c-channel to help keep the top flat. I slotted the holes in the cleats to allow for wood expansion. I attached the cleats to the underside of the top using these 1 inch (20mm) long steel threaded inserts. I used about 25 inserts for this project. I drilled the 3/8" pilot holes using a shop made drill guide and a veritas 3/8" brad point drill bit. After drilling, I chamfered the holes with a counter sink. I drove the inserts in with a harbor freight T-handle allen driver. The inserts went in fairly tight but did not feel like they were too tight. They all drove in with out damage to the inserts or the driver. The 1/4-20 bolts used to secure the cleats fit nicely without any problems. I was able to remove a few inserts and reuse them in a different location with no problems. Best inserts I've ever used. Highly recommed. ... show more
