My husband and I slept on this mattress at an Airbnb last year, and I immediately contacted our hosts asking what kind of magical mattress they had purchased - we both had the best sleep of our lives and my husband, who often wakes up with a hurting neck or lower back, was completely pain free. When it was time to get a new mattress this year, we immediately went for this as our first choice, and we have not been disappointed. Oftentimes, we don't feel like we don't even need a pillow. The mattress holds your body in a way that almost makes you feel weightless - any pressure on your joints just goes away. For me, as a side sleeper, this is huge! Typically, mattresses feel like they're fighting against my hips when I'm on my side, but this one settles just enough to feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud. We're getting a lot more quality sleep, and it's my favorite place to curl up with a book at the end of the day. 10/10 reccommend. (The only complaint I could slightly make is that it does have a tendency to 'spit you out' of the bed if you're on the edge. It took a little getting used to, but doesn't impact sleep or anything!) ... show more

I love it! This is a very comfortable mattress. It’s used at a part-time location, but I look forward to climbing into bed. I like it better than the mattress I usually sleep on that was way more expensive. I like a softer mattress, but I wouldn’t call it plush. It’s soft enough and supportive. I don’t wake up with any pressure points. I haven’t spent a lot of time in the same position, so I can’t speak to indents. I would recommend it for the price point!! ... show more

One week review sleeping for first time on memory foam mattress, let me tell you- it's a gamechanger. My husband and I are in our mid 40s so we are not spring chickens. We both suffer from sciatic pain and severe neck issues. I had purchased a memory foam mattress for guest room and both of us were rolling dice on who could sleep on it that night. We both have SIGNIFICANTLY LESS PAIN just in one week. Setup for the Zinus was a breeze, no odor, stays cool throughout the night. If I had it to do over again, I would have paid better attention to the reviews posted and opted for the 10 inch mattress rather than the 8 inch. My 8 inch mattress, though I left it alone for the full recommended 72 hours, never has expanded fully to 8 inches. Though I am finding the mattress adequate, the memory foam top layer really is soft, sometimes I feel like I am rolling up out of a hole when I turn over. It does spring back to level, however I would say it's more on the soft rather than medium side. Other reviewers have noted the 10 inch as being "firmer", another comment I should have heeded. I thought the mattress was supposed to be "cooling" and I have not found that to be the case. All that said, I will not complain about the cost, the ease of set up, nor the shipping time - all were acceptable . I am sleeping fine, and I would order again, albeit a deeper model. ... show more

[UPDATE] After a few days, we couldn't take it anymore. Once again, the wife was right. Neither of us were sleeping well - just too firm I guess. Maybe if we were bigger/heavier there would be more give? We added a 3" pillow topper and that makes it usable. It is a good size and we do like that there's support all the way to the edge - never feels like you are about to roll off the bed (until you do, so maybe that's not a pro?) Your mileage may vary but for us it was too firm. For the price it's pretty hard to beat this with a conventional mattress. In fact, you can't even touch it with a decent conventional mattress. It's pretty firm but I can't say that it creates any pressure points on my body. My wife is a little undecided yet, but it's only been one night on it so we'll see. I think it was a good buy and we needed a new mattress so for a couple hundred bucks it was totally worth a shot. I think we'll probably grow to love it in short order. ... show more

Shipped this to a new apartment so that we would have a mattress when we arrived after driving across many states during a move. I looked at many different brands before ultimately choosing ZINUS, based on reviews, price point, and firmness available. Set up could not have been easier, and it inflated to the complete 10 inches in less than 5 hours. Directly out of the box there was one "worrisome" corner, that looked sloped, but I let it sit and didn't try to coax it at all and it worked itself out! The firmness is perfect for my comfort level (I like a firm mattress) and I sleep great on this. There was NO smell at all! For the price point and comfort level, I will be buying twin mattresses of this brand shortly to upgrade the twin daybed trundle we have in our guest room. A bed like this cost 4x the price just saying and yes its comfy i paired this with a cotton blanket which i found on amazon for $40 i just needed to use my own comforter to fill the blanket but feels like linen. The bed is really thick and simply put i dint touch the bottom is firm enough to hold me and i went for the cooling model which cost the same somehow but yes this bed is extremely comfortable. Ot was easy to take out it actually was already thick when i unwrapped the plastic from the bed. It just poof was thick. Crazy being that most bed dont do that. This was almost full size plus you can use it meanwhile 72 hours passes to inflate i guess 2 inches for a full 12 inches. But W bed! I put a mattress protector because i like to take care of my stuff. Super buy i recommend this size to anyone looking for a comfortable bed. Just bought yesterday its at 11 inches ... show more
