I've owned two of these mattresses and they are so comfortable. In 2020 I bought a queen size and loved it so much i upgraded to the king in 2021 and am still sleeping on it. It's the perfect combination of firm but squishy, it molds to your body when you lay on it but you still feel supported. It had a good bit of bounce so turning over doesn't feel like you're laying on the ground. If you look up a mattress fitness chart, i'd say it's right in between a soft/medium, I had a sleepys plush before this and this is firmer than that but much more comfortable. Like I said i've had this mattress since 2021 and it's still like brand new. No sags at all and it's super easy to spot clean but keep a protector on it. We moved it across the country buy putting it in a vacuum bag and rolling it like how it shipped, and then we kept it in a garage for 6 months and when we opened it, good as new! ... show more

I have had this mattress for 2 years now, and I still love it. Every single night. It is firm, but still soft and fluffy feeling. It gives you the feeling of sinking into a super soft mattress without any of the actual sinking. The edges are less supported though so if you sit on the edge of the mattress, to put shoes on etc., it’s not super comfortable and does feel like you’re falling off. But this doesn’t bother me and overall I just love this mattress so much!!!! ... show more

Function/ comfort: I have used this mattress for about six months now. At this point, I am literally sleeping in a hole in the middle of the mattress and it continues to rapidly deteriorate. In just the past couple weeks, I went to no longer using a pillow because I sink so far down inside the mattress, I just use the edge of the hole I am sleeping in as a "pillow." To turn over in the night, I have to do a pushup to push myself out of the hole to turn over. Hard to imagine, but this Zinus mattress is worse than sleeping on the floor. I wondered if there is a warranty for this portable sinkhole, so I called Zinus. The first several times, it really appeared they simply refuse to take calls by using an AI phone tree that denies all calls. But after calling multiple times, I realized it's just a terrible quality system (could this be a pattern?) Pro tip: the phone tree asks if you purchased from Amazon- if you say yes, they immediately hang up on you. I call back and said I just want to talk about mattresses, and the robot says "Sorry, I can't help you with that" and again immediately hung up, etc. So, after saying, "Buy a mattress" repeatedly, I finally reached a person to inquire about the warranty: The Bottom Line: The decision to issue a replacement mattress will be made by sending Zinus a picture of the mattress taken with no sheet or object on the bed. If an observable 1.5 inch sag can be noted, then they will issue a replacement, which takes a week. (Note: They pointedly have no interest in my actual experience with the bed, and or any pictures of me actually in the quicksand mattress of death.) However, Zinus has no pickup service for the old mattress, so the responsibility to dispose of the giant CalKing- sized piece of used bubble gum is mine. So, while the prospect of getting a replacement terrible-quality mattress from Zinus and the joy of watching their delivery workers simply walk away from my current La Brea Tar Pit-style mattress because "they don't do that" is tempting... In closing, I shared my unique view with Zinus customer service that if a company saddles a customer with a (unwieldy, impossible to carry) lemon, they should recognize the significant imposition on that customer and take steps to make it right. Zinus thanked me for this new, deep insight that I provided to them and promised that they would consider it, so that perhaps in the future some other person who absolutely wastes their money on a Zinus product will no longer be burdened with how to dispose of said item. All too firm with somewhat mushy corners, this mattress may work for solo back-sleepers. Although I've had this bed open and "expanded" for 2 years, I only recently rotated it into my MBR and have slept on it the last 2 weeks. Even after some extended efforts to break it in via "knee-walking" (which is just what it sounds like, to break in a new mattress rapidly), it's still rather firm. The reinforced several inches near the edges feel like sleeping on the floor, although they do provide the advertised non-collapsing edges. For a couple who might be making use of those edge areas it's not going to be terribly comfortable. Despite too-firm edges, the corners are soft and feel like they never fully expanded. They slope in as if belonging to a different mattress-- although that does mean fitted sheets are easy-on/easy-off. The 13" height is a good intermediate one -- any thinner is guaranteed uncomfortable for adults and will come in too low versus traditional bedside tables. Normally I'd aim at 14 or thicker. It's okay for a single person but I'm actively planning to replace it with a more welcoming, more joyful-feeling mattress. ... show more
