The three bags I have purchased so far have been just as if I got them from the pet store. The weight is reasonable. Not too heavy. The bag is tightly sealed keeping the food fresh and tasty for my Doxies. I love the size of the kibble since my dogs try to eat as quickly as possible without chewing. These larger kibble make them slow down and actually enjoy their food more. The food does not smell but based on reviews of dog food experts the nutritional value of the turkey based food is great. I sometimes use the food as a quick treat. My dogs love to look out the front door and bark as they think they are the Neighborhood Crime Watchers. When someone with a dog walks by or the mailman delivers the mail I just shake the container I put the food in and they come running. Their coats are nice and shiny attesting to the quality of the ingredients. And no loose stools. This is the best food we’ve found for our bulldogs with food allergies and sensitive skin and stomachs. They’ve been on it for years. Our last bully was on TOTW but we later realized he was allergic to the sweet potatoes in it, which is a common allergy for the breed. Please do some research on grain free diets before ruling it out due to others stating it causes cardio myopathy. The FDA quietly walked this back after another study was done showing no link between the two. Think about the bias that this organization has in just about everything it does. Direct ties to the pharmaceutical industry and this study was encouraged by veterinarians with financial ties to large grain-in dog food companies that make billions a year pumping our dogs with corn and meat byproducts of unknown origin. Let’s not forget that these same veterinarians profit from disease and sickness in our pets. It’s no mistake that the follow up alert showing this study has no merit was not widely publicized. The goal of misinformation was already achieved and is now parroted by every other veterinarian and dog owner who had a dog diagnosed with this disease and happened to be on a grain free diet at the same time. This food has the some of the most clean, healthy, and clearly labeled without confusion ingredients out there. If I ate just these ingredients every day I’d be shredded. I would feed my dogs this any day over the overpriced, cheap ingredient, junk packed kibble produced by many of the top name grain-in companies out there. ... show more

After a year of trying to figure out why our dog Kona always smells (despite frequent bathing, ear cleaning, etc) it was suggested that we switch to a non-grain dog food. We switched to Zignature and within a week she smelled better. I never, ever would have thought to change her food! She also really seems to like it! ... show more

My fur baby has had problems with skin allergies and odor for years. Originally, I put him on Blue Buffalo/Blue Wilderness Chicken Dry Food in 2012. That seemed to work until 2013 when he started to not be able to hold it down. At PetSmart, the in-store Blue Wilderness sales guy suggested that I switch my baby to Blue Basics and change from Chicken to Salmon. That seemed to work for a while until once again, my baby developed skin rashes and started to be unable to hold the food down (despite my blending it to a powder in the Vitamix which I combine with water). One day, I was searching www.earthclinic.com for holistic allergy cures for pets and one of the other pet owners mentioned the Zignature brand of dog food suggesting that it may be the "sweet potato" in the Blue Basics which was causing my baby's allergies. Although I hadn't thought much about it and often use sweet potato puree for puppy stomach issues, the other pet owner suggested that the sugar in the sweet potato was causing a "candida"/"leaky gut" reaction. Well, that was all I needed to know. My baby has been on Zignature Dry food for a few weeks. I worked it into his diet gradually as recommended by the manufacturer. Although it is obvious that the incessant itching/scratching has stopped, he still has the funky smell indicative of skin allergies. It has only been about 2 weeks that he's been 100% on Zignature so I guess I need to give it more time on the "smell" front since he's not due to be groomed until next week. As a point of full disclosure, I also have him on a probiotic treat, twice a day, so that might be contributing to his improvement as well. The pro-biotic is also available here on Amazon. It is called "Vetri Science Veterinarian Gastrointestinal Health Canine+Feline formula Vetri Probiotic". He loves the food as well as the pro-biotic treat. ... show more

I use this dog brand in my home for our bigger dogs and it works well. We recently switched up to try another brand and our dogs had digestive issues. After changing back it’s like nothing even happened.

I have so many good things to say about this brand. I have a 1.5yr old long hair German Shepard who’s tummy can’t handle chicken lamb or anything besides waterfowl. I went through several well known food brands and you could tell she didn’t want it and would have diarrhea and she lost so much weight and became de lulu and drunk walking and sleeping all the time. and Within a month of switching to this food she gained so much weight and is back to her normal energetic self and her coat is BEAUTIFUL and so soft. Only negative is just the fishy smell to her breath and the food bowl, which I will happily deal with if it means my girl is happy and healthy.
