For reference, I'm 5'3", size 12, 165 lbs. I carry my weight in my waist and booty. I ordered a medium and large but the medium was too tight in my midsection. I went with the large, purchased firm spanx to wear underneath, and hemmed the dress 3 inches while wearing 4in heels. The dress was for a military ball. I received many compliments from strangers, so trust the dress is stunning. Quality wise, it is not a $500+ dress, so don't expect top of the line; however, you do get more bang for your buck here. This dress is amazing. I mean UGHHHMAZING. I gave it a 4 stars because it was too big but the stretch contributed a lot. This was a hail-mary purchase since, according to the size chart it shouldn't fit me (bust 43", waist 36", hips 41") but...look at these pics! I am going to exchange an XL for maybe a large? Or medium even because it was LOOSE. I don't care for the rhinestone straps so I'll alter that part and maybe add some cups/support but even with just a strapless bra it's insanely gorgeous. I just got married on 2/4/23. This dress was $80 and some change and I have you know, I received so many compliments and people blew their F'ing mind when I told them I got it off Amazon!!! It's beautiful, and stretchy and let me tell you.. I was NOT at all gentle with the dress that night and it did not break, rip.. nothing!!! I do wish I wore a strapless bra but other than that.. I wanted to love this dress. The color is a beautiful green with a blue under tone. The sequin pattern is great and lines up between the bodice and skirt enough to not look awkward. It isn't super scratchy like some sequin dresses and the material has just enough stretch in both the lining and the overlay. The overall silhouette even hits in the right spots to show my curves but, it goes horribly wrong from there. The neckline is nothing short of akward and it cheapens the whole dress. The halter tie is a cheap taffeta type ribbon and it stops before the edge of the very square neck line. Neckline is to square to look flattering tied behind the neck. The rhinestone straps attach to a ribbon at the very corner of the front neckline and on the top of the back of the dress with hook clasps. The design not only prevents them from laying flat but the hooks show. The straps are also to long with no way to adjust. Would look better fanned out across the back. I feel this could be easily accomplished if you add some additional ribbon points and are up for alterations. Currently the rhinestone straps look like an afterthought and does nothing for the neckline or the back of the dress. For reference I ordered a medium and the dress was a little loose in the top. I have a long torso and size 36D in a bra so loose in the top and straps being to long are not normally a thing for me. I am 5'7" and 147 lbs with a 33" inseam. I ordered a medium but could have gone down a size for a better fit. I am usually on the larger size of a medium and often size up. The dress is long enough for us taller girls to wear heals. Infact with a 3 inch heal it was about an inch to long which rarely happens for me. Love the dress just wish it had a better neckline. This one will be returned. ... show more

I am 5’9, 140 - usually I’m a medium, maybe a small depending on the length since I’m taller. I could have gotten away with an XS in the long run. Took it in an inch on both sides and cinched the sipper area 3/4 of an inch and I still could have done more. The length was perfect with my wedge heels!! The dress got SOOOO many compliments and I felt beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like was the neckline. I will be hemming it so it doesn’t come out on each side where you tie it. Let me start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews but thought it would be a disservice to the public if I didn't write one about this absolutely stunning dress. I also base all of my purchases on reviews so I am hoping this can help someone. This dress was in actuality meant to be my backup dress but once I tried it on I knew it was THE dress. The design on the actual dress itself is made out of sequins. Knowing that sequins isn't made for all occasions, this happened to be perfect for my desert Las Vegas elopement. I mean it's Vegas, why not add a little pizzazz? I carefully read all of the reviews before I even considered the dress and I saw a review where someone mentioned it was a good idea to shimmy the dress on and off over your head. This serves two purposes 1- you didn't have to test the zipper out on an $80 dress and 2- if you are alone and don't have anyone to help you get in and out, this is the way to go in any case. I did notice sequins coming off the dress each time I took it on and off but nothing that was actually noticeable in the design whatsoever. I am 5 ft 3 in, Approximately 235 lb and carry all of my weight in my top and in my rear. It might even be safe to say that I am close to an E cup in the top. Generally I am able to fit into a triple D bra size. I would describe the dress as having a very stretchy tan under layer and the top layer is made of lace and sequins. I wouldn't say the over layer has a lot of give/stretch but it's not completely stiff either. I was able to squeeze my curvaceous self into it. I added a wedding belt for a little bit of pizzazz as well and I found that here on Amazon. I will say that you have to be careful when adding a bridal belt because the top layer of the dress is made of a lace that can catch easily. The belt did get caught a little bit a couple of occasions but it wasn't anything major and it was easily fixed. I have to say for the price point this was absolutely stunning!
