Wasn't sure about this shelf when I ordered it and while it could be a little sturdier, I'm clearly giving it a lot to handle lol. Shelves have not started to sag or warp. Be careful when putting this together. Too much crank on the ol' generic allen wrench could damage or crack the shelving. Once it's together, you'll look at it weird and wonder why an intelligent person such as yourself can't figure out how it fits together to function properly, but it all ends up working out. ... show more

It was a little tricky squeezing the wood slots into the holes but they fit! I love how it came with everything you need right out of the box. I put this together at work at my desk and already have some many compliments!

I gave 4 stars because although the shelf is quick and easy to put together, I’m not sure it’s going to hold up well. I’m generally pretty easy on my desk organization items, so it should be okay. Hopefully it lasts a while.

At a distance m, it’s really cute. However, it’s basically laser-cut foam with plastic covering the top and bottom surfaces. The edges are raw and you can see the foam. It meets expectations for its price and for something to hold tchotchkes on my desk at work it’s fine.

This is essentially covered foam, so it is easy enough to assemble (I recommend easing one side of the male pieces into the female slots to avoid crinkling or messing up the exterior cover), but that means it isn't particularly sturdy.
