    • The ties will damage your plants if you don't remove them in time!

I used these for my favorite closet flowers, and I left a few on for longer than I should have. The plants will grow around these unlike the thicker/softer ties you can get, and at that point removing them would have damaged the plant further. I ended up leaving them on and creating a permanent bottle neck in my flowers' vascular system! Use only if you're a responsible and diligent person 😂. ... show more

I was going to return item because it was too thin, but came up with an idea to make masks with hepa filters, rubber bands and the wire to pinch over my nose. Not good to tie up my vines but I can use them for other projects.

Sadly, this is the second gardening-related product in 3 days for which I have given 1 star; I hope this isn't going to be a trend with Amazon. When it arrived, there was a bit of wire extending out of the rim, and for the first attempt at getting wire out of it, the spool rolled nicely. However, after I cut the wire, all kinds of kinks and tangles appeared. Why in blue blazes didn't the manufacturere figure a way to guide the wire out of the spool, near the cutter? I throew it in the trash, because by the time I got through, it was all tangled up! I have been gardening for over 30 years, and I have *never* seen such a mess as this thing caused. Don't buy it. Instead, try to find gardening wire that's on a winder that can be relied on to work properly. The cutter worked once, though...... ... show more

I have used green twist ties on a spool similar to this one for years, but I needed black twist ties to secure black chew-proof hardware cloth to black metal fencing for rabbit, etc. control around my raised veggie garden. As I worked with this black twist tie material I found that the vinyl covering over the wire inside was thinner than any I had ever used. The wire itself is quite sturdy, but the covering over the wire tends to shred and come off the wire very easily. The idea of a twist tie is to do exactly that, twist. The wire does fine, but the covering does not. I am not sure that the covering will hold up over time. I also got poked enough to draw blood about three times while working with it. That is something that had never happened to me before when using other brands of twist tie rolls. I will definitely not be purchasing this again. ... show more

It really could not get worse than this. This stuff is almost pure plastic so it has no shape retention and it's incredibly hard to work with, if you actually chose to use it. This second part is really weird. I'm not one of those people that are picky about smells from a new product. I unwrapped this and for the next hour I could not figure out what this disgusting smell in the room was. Finally, against all logic, I picked up the roll of cheap plastic twist tie and smelled it. I almost hit the floor. I can't describe how bad this stuff smells. It went straight in the garbage and the garbage went outside. Don't buy this. It's as junk as it gets. ... show more

My oldest child was a baby when I bought my first roll of wire and he is now in his 4th year of college when it is time for me to buy my next one. I will say that the ties seem smaller than the old roll, but they accomplish the same task. Whether staking a plant, bagging garbage, or just temporarily banding stuff together. One thing that I have always used this to organize pvc, conduit or air fittings. It is very easy to wire them together and then like keys on a ring select the one you need - otherwise they always seem to migrate to the bottom of the tool bag. ... show more

This product was virtually unusable. It was wrapped so tight around the drum it came on that unrolling it was impossible without taking the drum apart, which of course turned it into a large, tangled mess. The quality of the tie material is very thin and the black sheathing is easily stripped off of the wire. ... show more
