Scent: Vanilla Cupcake Size: Classic Large Jar
Pro: I purchased this brand and Vanilla Cupcake candle because I wanted to freshen up my apartment and also have an emergency power outage candle for when we have those California rolling blackouts to prevent electrical fires during summer heatwaves when air-conditioners are in high use. I don't have one of those, but everyone is affected when our power company has to do it. I can rest easy with this candle in its own glass jar and it has a strong scent within a half hour of burning it that I'm not allergic to and my partner said he thinks it smells like a vanilla tapioca pudding rather than a cupcake, and I agree. My small senior apartment complex isn't allowed to have candles that aren't in a safe heat resistant glass container so this is perfect. It is important to trim the wick prior to using it and each time thereafter to 1/4". Instructions are listed on the product box. Keep out of drafts to lessen the wick smoking and extend the life of the candle. Con: We moved the candle from the bedroom to the living room (which is much larger) because the candle scent becomes very noticeable after about 20 minutes or less in each room. If you have a larger home (mine is 600 sq. ft.) it may take longer to fill the entire home. I'm not sure if that's a pro or a con, but I mention it because I suspect it depends more on how long you want to enjoy the pleasant light. I highly recommended it even though we are both sensitive to all fragrances. Hope that helps folks decide. I have enjoyed the second one I purchased even more because the weather has been pleasant enough to leave the windows open. Definitely a positive for me now! ... show more

Looks good. The scent is not very strong. The wick burned away after 4-5 lightings. I tried to melt down the wax walls and insert a new wick. Still not burning correctly. I have another Yankee Candle which has no issues.

Who doesn't like the smell of fresh vanilla cupcakes? I've purchased so many candles. Super high brands included, but I'm back to trusted Yankee. This smells up my entire living room. When someone walks in they always say, "it smells so good in here".. that's my Yankee candle, and no not me baking. I do trim the wick a little before each use so I don't get tunneling and I always get a clean burn. I'm on autoship and I plan on it staying that way. I have 2 Australian Shepherds when they come in from playing they stink. I can't bathe them everyday, besides, it's not good for them. My Yankee Candle to the rescue. My only hope is they don't go up to a ridiculous high price, but these are worth it. Great purchase and who doesn't like Vanilla Cupcakes. The scent isn’t as strong as I remember it. But ordered it because Home Sweet Home has always been my favorite. It has been hard to find in the store, so was thrilled to find it on Amazon. It came packaged well in excellent condition. Any Yankee candles burns clean and last a long time.

This is a great buy! It has a cinnamon type scent! It takes me back when I was younger and Yankee candles became popular. I love this candle and personally use a seasonal transition candle. Burns great! I highly recommend!!
