2 hunting trips at 6 days each and this holds crushed ice and ice blocks like a champ! I can actually refreeze the leftover ice from each trip. Pros: size, durability, rubber feet, pressure relief valve, closing hasps and much more. Cons: heavy, but you should expect this from a quality cooler so this comes with the territory! Love this cooler!! It’s AWESOME!! Live in south Texas, my husband is a fence builderv/ we have properties we maintain with mowing shredding / tree work etc...we are out side everyday all year. Summer in Texas is HOT!! Almost unbearable at times..some times when working fences there is no escaping the hot sun bearing down on you...only refuge is to get to the truck for something cold to drink!! For years used inexspenvie coolers....ice would be gone by that 2:00 o’clock afternoon hour when you really needed that cold drink the most...so I really couldn’t bring myself to purchase a $500 cooler ..but needed to make a change!! Found this one / read the reviews .. liked the price and thought okay...let’s try it...PERFECT!!!! Everything about it!! We use our cooler everyday! Arrived days before it was scheduled to arrive...was so excited to give it a go....loaded it with drinks large bag of ice...at first ice melted some what because drinks were hot and it was 97 degrees that day with heat index over 100....and cooler was in the full sun all day..put another bag of ice that evening...drained a little water that morning and haven’t looked back since....once it started cooling it hasn’t stopped!!!! Ice last for days!!! Loved this cooler so much I order a second one for my truck!!! Can’t find one negative to say about this cooler!!! Holds ice great!!! Love the camo color!! No doubt this will keep stuff cold -- well constructed, gasket on lid, no seams. BUT: this cooler is HEAVY!! I did not notice the weight when I ordered it. It's about 3x the weight of a similar size Coleman cooler. The weight really limits it utility -- it's comparable to putting 3 gallons of milk in the Coleman before you start loading any other food. Takes a pretty burly guy to handle it empty -- when loaded up, definitely two strong folx to lift or carry it. Probably gift it to my serious camper/hunter relatives. ... show more

I've been using this cooler for over a month now as outdoor storage for beverages and food at our cottage. As advertised, ice will last for 5 days although most of it is very cold water on Day 5. Temperatures are typically in the 75-85 degree range during the day and the cooler is located on deck which receives 8-9 hours of direct sun. This past week we've had several days in the 90s and the cooler performed quite well even in the high heat and humidity. Overall, the cooler is very well built and is quite heavy even when empty. I can't compare this cooler to the other expensive "Roto Molded" brands because I could never justify spending $500+ on a cooler. But, I can tell you that this cooler does what it says it can, and I haven't been disappointed in this purchase. ... show more

Like all of these rotomold ice chests, it keeps ice longer than a coleman style chest. For our test, we filled it with 30 poinds of ice, in the bags. (Full to the top) and took it on a camping trip. After 3 days half the ice was water. We dumped in a bunch of water bottles, filling it up. The ice/water lasted another 5 days. It definitely performed better with all the air space gone. Trip temps were 70°- 80°f the entire trip. Comparatively, this is a good deal. I still feel they are overpriced for being plastic and the $20 they cost to make, but thats the free market for you. This chest has VERY GOOD features: rubber feet keep it from sliding around the trailer, lockable with metal reinforcement, bottle openers, awesome drain plug which does not require removal to use, and a very necessary pressure relief valve. If you fall for the awesome work of Yeti's marketing team, you will waaay overpay for an inferior product. Sorry, Yeti, you are what you are. This comes unbranded, so you can make your own "Me" sticker and put it in there. Lol Very happy with this purchase. My bro-in-law also purchased one immediately after he saw it. ... show more

This thing is sturdy, great capacity, held the cold quite well. We filled it about halfway with block ice plus three nalgenes that we froze in the freezer. That is a good trick since once they melt you can drink the water. The thing held ice for almost 5 days down in Baja with no ice addition, and our fresh veggies and milk and butter were as happy as our beers. We just tried not to open it very much. We did a 7 day trip in Baja with only one ice fill up on day 5. The handles are also very comfortable for a two-person carry. Considering how much the name-brand rotomold coolers cost, this was a screamin' value. Works as a nice seat too. I recommend buying wire baskets or plastic bins that can keep stuff dry on top. ... show more

We have a Yeti of similar size and it’s heavy without anything in it! I knew there was no way myself and 7 year old daughter could maneuver it by ourselves so I went searching and found this gem. I thought for the price it was worth a shot since reviews were also positive. I’m so glad I took a chance! This cooler is fantastic! It kept ice for 3 days in 100°+ weather! I only out a small bag of ice in it too and the kids were constantly in and out of it. And it was in a super hot horse trailer with no a/c! I’m sold!
