I have a 20 year plus dishwasher that still workes great. But the seal around the door made it leak. Because the washer is so old the seal isn't available anymore. So I had to find one that will work and this one came the closest. The door is a bit hard to close but it will with a very firm push. But most importantly it doesn't leak anymore! With more use I'm hoping that this becomes a bit more easy to close ... show more

This product was the correct price needed but the quality of rubber is so stiff the dishwasher door would not stay shut. We thought it would soften with heat and time if we could keep the door closed by anchoring it a d slow if the cycle to run. However, heat did not help and we had to purchase another gasket as this one is poor quality. Would not advise buying!’ ... show more

    • Good quality if it fits, and you can run a couple of heated dry cycles.
Edit 1: I taped the door shut and ran the dishwasher. it leaked just a little. After the heated dry cycle I removed the tape and it stayed mostly shut, way better than before. I ran another cycle including heat and got only 3 drips of water. Again the door closed better. This seal is stiffer than the original, but it seems like it may work after a couple of heat cycles. Then I would think that the stiffer rubber would be a benefit to resist cuts. Original review: It was easy to change, just make sure you look at which way the old one is in before you begin. Fold it in half to find the middle, then center that on top and start installing there to make sure it's even. It seems to be good quality rubber, but it's stiffer than the original. I didn't notice this until I tried to close my door. It won't close well. I tried it anyway, and it leaks since the door won't close right. Time to try a different one. ... show more

Bought as replacement for a Whirlpool W11177741. Installed easily, and I let it mold with a closed door per the directions. Unfortunately it leaked near the top. Tried reseating it several times to no avail. Outside of return window unfortunately ;-(
