  • Great Kayak for Lake Huron
Color: Forest Green
I bought the kayak to use on Lake Huron. It's great. Paddles effortlessly even into the wind. Tracks nice and straight. Very stable. Not bad to carry, 50#, but I decided to invest in the balloon tire carrier to wheel it over the sand.

  • Typical View from Kayak
Color: Mango
I like this kayak quite a bit. It’s large and spacious inside. It has some nice features and I’m really into the seat. It’s very well-made. Ask the ideas they give me to write about don’t really apply…adjustability, yes…I’m only 5’2” and I fit in it perfectly as I imagine would a much larger person. There are many little pulleys and levers to adjust the seat and feet. Maneuverability? I suppose but I’m not really looking for that as it’s long so my expectations are low there. Speed…haha hull speed? I doubt I’ll be pushing that. OTOH it is light-weight and seems to flow through the water quicker than my other one. ... show more

  • Pure perfection!
Color: Purple Dawn
We were looking at several different kayaks to purchase when we came across the Pungo 120 and 125. They had excellent reviews so we thought we would give them a shot. We had read several reviews where they arrived damaged, but this was not our experience. We ordered the 120 for my wife and the 125 for myself and both showed up in perfect condition. We took them out one evening just before sunset and wow what a difference from our old dolphin kayaks. These guys being 12 foot track better and are much faster on the water than our old 10 footers. The adjustable seat and cockpit make it stand out from the rest. They also have a rear bulkhead with dry storage that a lot of others don’t have. We could not be happier with our decision to purchase the Pungo. ... show more

  • Poorly protected packaging
Color: Purple Dawn
I have nothing bad to say about the kayak itself. These are excellent kayaks. If Wilderness Systems is to sell on Amazon, I highly suggest the manufacturer re-engineers the packaging. The kayak is barely protected and Amazon delivery folks are not careful. Kayak arrived with multiple damages—dent hull, deep gouges, and cracked dry hatch. The only protection is a thin plastic and dinky corrugated cardboard. ... show more

  • Best kayak!!!
Color: Galaxy
I wanted to go up in size from my Pelican 10ft. kayak. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to buy an Eddyline or something equivalent in price. So, I looked around. I came across this Wilderness System Pungo 12'2" kayak. I read raving reviews and decided to purchase one. I'm so glad I did! This kayak is so easy to maneuver, it is quick on the water, paddles easily, and maintains a straight line very well. It's not too heavy for me to handle. I have no problems at all keeping up with my friends in nicer and more expensive kayaks. This is, by far, the best kayak for the price! I have taken 30 trips since it arrived in June of this year. Zero regrets! Love it! ... show more

  • Excellent kayaks but delivery to get two was tough
Color: Galaxy
We love our Wilderness Systems PUNGO 120 and 125 Sit Inside Recreational Kayaks. They are quality! And during the pandemic, apparently MANY people wanted kayaks. The first two we ordered... one came minorly scuffed up and unpredictably late (WHERE is it???!!?) and one never came after much dealing with Amazon... So we ordered another, as we are two people and one is of no use to us - and THAT one seemed to disappear into the delivery system without a trace. We began to fear that they had been over-promised and that we'd never get it, so while they were trying to figure out where it was and when it would come to us, we ordered ANOTHER and it beat the last one here, so we cancelled that one. AY, the whole process was tedious and I would order them from some other place, if it were possible. I understand the pandemic made things tougher delivery-wise, but it's a large object and one should be able to know where in the country they are. Amazon people were nice, as were their delivery companies they hired, but some were better than others, if you know what I mean. (The final kayak we ordered was in perfect condition and arrived exactly when they said it would.). Anyway, we're loving them but it's a cautionary tale - don't expect this to go like your other amazon deliveries. ... show more
