Style: Rolling Garment Rack
Once you get this thing open and pieced together, it's great! It rolls nicely, is very sturdy and has plenty of extra space for accessories. The only negatives are the packaging and the directions, so I'll tell you how to put this together by yourself. 1. Remove the wheels and the 4 bottom halves of the pole (the one with the small thread on the bottom) and screw the wheels on. Decide where you want the wheels that are able to lock. I just placed mine diagonally. 2. Place the black clips in the same location on each pole toward the bottom by the wheels and lightly pull down on the clips to lock them in place. 3. Then, place the poles through the holes of the 1st rack (They're both the same), with the lip of it facing downward. I just held the rack up on it's side and inserted the poles sideways, then straightened it up on the wheels. Push the rack down onto the black clips until it stabilizes. 4. Screw the top half of the poles on, then place the rest of the black clips on the top portion of poles and just count the lines on the pole to make sure they're all at the same level and pull down to snap them into place. 5. Place the top rack on, lip down. 6. Find the center of the sides of the top rack and place the hangers, then screw in the 9th and final pole. 7. Finally, unlock the the 2 locked wheels and you're ready to roll. The only thing I'd recommend to the manufacturer is to make a pull tab to open the box. I realize it's a heavy item that needs a sturdy box but it took more effort to open the box then to put the thing together. Actually, the directions need revising too. You have the wrong #'d pole pictured to attach the wheels to and it's confusing. Otherwise, a great purchase!! ... show more

    • Reasonable Price, Adaquate Fit For The Amazon Basics 35 inch Garment Rack

I purchased this cover for the amazon basics rack which is 35 inches long. It fits well although it is a little tight across the bottom when buttoned. The material is very thick and heavy and the ties are placed perfectly to attach it to the rack. This is really a very nice wardrobe cover and the price is quite reasonable. It is attractive and gives my spare room a finished look. However I cannot imagine this fitting on the Whitmor 36 inch rack that this is designed for. I noticed that some other reviewers complained that the cover would not close over the 36 inch clothing rack. I find this odd as this is the rack it is actually made for. Many reviewers stated that they keep the cover open so perhaps that is why closing the cover is not an issue for them. For this reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. Otherwise a nice, reasonably priced cover which does fit on the 35 inch amazon basics rack. ... show more

I was looking to purchase an item exactly like this. Researched pricing on many websites. The best...Amazon Warehouse Deals! BTW....didn't even know AWD existed! Just tripped upon in when looking to buy "new" on Amazon.com. You NEED to check it out. (Scroll to bottom of Amazon.com home page. Click on "Warehouse Deals" in blue font.) Anyway, great product and it was new. The box it came in, however was slightly damaged. No Matter!!! Product was in EXCELLENT condition. This garment rack is really nice looking, and I have to tell you, pretty easy to put together. I am a 44 year old woman...assembled it on my own. If you have tolerance, a little time and are pretty savvy with our hands...you can assemble this by yourself. If you have a friend to help....even better and likely 1/2 the time. It took approximately 12 minutes for me to assemble. This rack by Whitmor is really sturdy; each piece has weight and clearly won't bend or break. I have shoes on the bottom, a bunch of clothes / winter coats hanging and a few small bags/suitcases on the top. Wheels on the bottom are a nice benefit, but I don't use them. The fabric is a light cotton/poly mix. Since it was too deep and long for my Home Depot Husky metal shelf of 60”tall, 36”wide and 15” deep, I washed it in hot water and dried in high heat. It shrank a bit in width but was still too long so I hemmed it by 7” to just above the wheels. The fabric weave tightened up a bit which I prefer. This is a perfect solution to hide our biking gear in our multi-use patio. Before the rain season, I will spray with waterproofing to avoid mildew. ... show more
