Hard to find a wood blade alternatives for the Makita XSS03 5 3/8” circular saw. This one works good with the included spacer. Just make sure tight fit otherwise you will get a small vibration. Pic is crosscut on plywood with my diy track

I bought this because I was dong allot of Plywood cutting of all widths, plus 2X4s, 1X2s, 4x4s, etcetera, and without a blade that has additional teeth, reviewing and scoring the wood, and deburring properly with a rasp, your job will be allot more work, and your results will be frustrating because there will be more cleanup and corrections because of poor cuts, longer cuts time wise and uneven off center cuts. I also purchased a new More powerful saw as that helps the blade and vice versa. I was building new shelves for the garage and tripling the existing shelf space. Nothing that takes a genius but if you do it right it will be a fun and impressive job... especially in a neighborhood where everyone has egos and tries to one up people like my young rich GF and her young rich BF that do every thing themselves instead of hiring every expensive contractor out there. I think I might have gone past my limit in the words category huh? ... show more

    • Worked nicely for laminate floors

Picked this up especially to use while installing a couple hundred SF of laminate floors in the basement. It made decent cuts without much splintering and it didn't wear down too quickly. But, it did lose a two or three teeth over the weekend and by the time I was done it had gotten noticeably duller. However, it did the job I needed it to do and it was much cheaper than a dedicated laminate blade, so I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Just think of it as part of your materials cost and it's a great choice for this kind of use case. ... show more
