Pricey, but WELL worth it -- especially since you've likely already invested several hundred dollars (or more) in your flight sim gear. Keeps all your gear in one place, folds down for easy transportation & storage out of the way, and is ready to go again at a moment's notice. Keep all your gear together & wired up -- I'd strongly suggest mounting a powered USB hub to the unit so that your gear can all stay plugged in all the time and all you've got to do is plug 1 USB cord into your computer and you're good to go! VERY solidly built, very high quality. Shipping was quick even given the hefty weight of the package. I'm thrilled with it and it's made me fly much more often now that I don't have to spend 30+ minutes setting up my desk (and then 20+ minutes the next day dismantling everything so I can get back to work). Just put it in place, plug 1 cable in, flip the quick-release to position the pole, and you're ready to fly in less than 1 minute. The wife appreciates that my flight sim gear isn't littering my office shelves & floor, too. ;-) Only complaint: The assembly instructions (and video) weren't the greatest. I ended up assembling the yoke "plate" backwards (seems common) and had to start over on that part & re-do a number of steps, but beer may have influenced that. Once you get the basic assmbly done you can pretty much ignore the instructions and just set it up however you'd like -- there are tons of customization options in terms of how you lay out your cockpit and it's easy to make changes as you go. I took a gamble based on a few other reviews that this would work with the Honeycomb yoke as I find it far superior to the Saitek/Logitech yoke it was designed for. As you can see in the pictures I used the mounting clamps that come with the Honeycomb to simply clamp it to the plate/bar that normally would screw into the Logitech yoke. Turns out that works great. It's solid and doesn't get in the way of my knees/etc. I give the seller credit for not claiming this will work with the Honeycomb, but if you don't mind the clamps, you can definitely make it work. I've since added the saitek throttle quadrant, which was easy to add (the honeycomb doesn't extend any further out than the Logitech yoke). I also bought a desk clamp usb hub to assist with cable management that I mounted on the extended bar. One tip to the seller - it would be great if you could find a way to allow the cable to run through the main extendable shaft/column vs. having to wrap it around the outside. I will say the included instructions are worthless, but no ding for that, as the seller's youtube video is clear and easy to follow. All in all, this thing is sturdy, adjustable, and comfortable. It's not so heavy that I can't easily move it out of the way when not in use, but it's heavy enough that it doesn't slide around or wobble why I'm playing.     • Solid stand but takes some tolerance setting up
This is a solid stand. It won't move on you or collapse. A few suggestions to the seller: 1) If I need to go to YouTube to see installation instructions, you have made a mistake. Include them in the box. What came with the box was useless. Even YouTube was questionable. I got it together after much experimentation. 2) YouTube was the only thing keeping me from returning this. Once I saw that and watched it, it was easier. Not simple but easier. 3) Include more cable ties. 4) DO NOT USE MOVING WRAP! My gosh, that stuff is a pain to unwrap. Put the fixtures in ziplocks. 5) Perhaps make it easier to move. Add an wheel on a angle at the far end. 6) Make the base vertical tube 6" taller so it can fit standard height desks. 7) Include a suggested wiring diagram and zip tie suggestions. Disclaimer! I bought this stand without reading the fine print. The one I purchased did not have the components required for the Honeycomb Yoke and Throttle Quadrants, however contacting wheelstand pro was a breeze and they were quick to respond and help with my needs. They offered a kit that would work for me, and it arrived quickly. The Logitech radios/panels don't seem to mount up to the Honeycomb designed plates, so I used components from both kits to make the radios fit. The clamps have enough tension in them to prevent slop or movement during use, and with the clamps it makes it easy to fold it down and stow it away.     • Improves situational awareness in XPlane Zibo 737
This product has greatly improved my XPlane experience. The stand holds the rudder pedals and yoke firmly so they don't slip. This makes flying so much easier. If you also have a the radio, switch, and/or multi panels, this also enhances the realism of the simulation. Especially when flying the Zibo 737, you don't have to mouse over and find the button you are looking for. My only compliant is that the radio and multi panel mount on the left side. In a real Cessna 172 the radio stack multi panel would be on the right side above the throttle. Other then that slight difference from real life, the wheel stand has been a huge improvement. One minor detail. I had a M6 hex nut that was not threaded. Due to supply chain issues I wasn't able to find a replacement at my local hardware store. I contacted the wheel stand pro in Dallas (contact info is on the instruction sheet) they sent out a replace hex nut immediately. Fast and responsive customer service. ... show more
