    • I LOVE IT, but...
I searched for a lamp like this for AGES and couldn't find one. Specifically, I was looking for a light that would synch with the natural light outside. Upon (finally) finding this one, I balked (understandably, I think) at the price. I work for my money, and I quickly calculated the amount of labor I would have to exchange for this one little item, and wondered if it could possibly be worth it. Well, it is - with a few caveats. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it nearly perfectly. In my household, we all love the lamp, and everyone in the family has remarked such nearly daily since we plugged it in. My children have declared it both "dope" and "sick." My only issues with this item are the exorbitant price - I would love to have one in every room but it's just too cost-prohibitive to even contemplate - and the brightness. Specifically, I would love, too, if it would illuminate a bit better during daylight hours. In a room that receives even heavily-filtered-by-shade-trees sunlight, it really doesn't add any extra illumination when the sun is out. What it does do, though. is add lovely, non-circadian-disrupting light in the matutinal and vespertinal hours (dawn and twilight). During the day, it adds but a little oomph. However, having the light naturally adjust and be biologically appropriate during twilight, the nighttime hours, and dawn, makes it worth it. I only wish it were A) brighter in the daytime, or B) more affordable so I could sprinkle them about the house more generously, or, ideally, both. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase and consider it money well, if hesitantly, spent, and which I will not spend again on another, however much I may appreciate this one.     • Helps my kids sleep through the night
Set up was very easy. Just download the app and make sure Bluetooth is on. Then you can adjust the schedules and brightness of the lamp. My kid has always had sleep issues until the first night we plugged in this lamp. The red glow really is calming. It’s been a week now and she hasn’t had to take any sleep aides or meds. Doesn’t work properly- nice idea, but way too expensive and very minimal instruction. I suggest that you save your money and buy something that works.

    • Pretty great lamp, but super expensive!
TLDR: Pretty great lamp, but super expensive! Is this a dope lamp that helps with mood etc, especially if you’re stuck indoors most days as it gives you a bit of a boost with your mental health, absolutely! Is it worth hundreds of dollars? I just really am not sure. This light is basically a heavy plastic dome shape, no metal base or anything expensive. The entirety of the expense is in the lighting and app to go with it. The app is okay, it’s decent enough but really can get confusing. It takes awhile to go through it, learn what everything does, and set it up according to your daily schedule. Even then, you still have to go back and make adjustments bc again it’s a lot to learn. It’s really cool that it has the ability to go with the usual daily sun patterns, and it does seem to help my mood a bit, which is really why I wanted this. I get a bit down sitting inside all day and not getting enough natural light and I do feel this helps with that! I just wish it wasn’t so dang expensive for what it is! Now if this thing was made of fancy glass and metal and really came off as nice material and a fancy upgrade to most sun type lamps, then the price would be worth it. Now if you have the money to spend, you may truly love this lamp for its sunlight matching abilities and scheduling options. Otherwise you may need to look at less expensive versions until this lamp has the highest quality materials to go along with the app and lighting experience! ... show more

    • Maybe for biohackers, not for mitochondriacs
It's unfortunate that you have to use the Bluetooth functionality in order to have the auto on and coloring shifting features work. Anyone who is truly into a circadian lifestyle should be wary of bluetooth and not want it blasting in their home/from their phone constantly. The light is fairly easy to use and the night time glow is nice looking. Unfortunately, like virtually all "full spectrum" lights this is not truly full spectrum because it only utilizes the visible spectrum. No matter what the visible light spectrum balance, a light will still be blue light toxic if it lacks infrared. This means even the evening light is kind of "soy red." Better than a standard LED, yes, but still not as good as an incandescent bulb or one of the speciality LEDs that also contains infrared. If you're a "biohacker" type, you will probably like this light. If you're a Mitochondriac, it isn't good enough. ... show more
