Well Woven Barclay Sarouk Black Traditional Area Rug 7'10" X 9'10" brings together an array of patterns drawn from a carefully selected palette of Modern, European, and Persian Styles. Warm red, green, and blue jewel tones are accented by neutral tones of ivory and beige. The heat set polypropylene fiber gives a 0.4" pile that is soft, stain resistant, and doesn’t shed or fade over time. The 100% jute backing is safe for wood floors and all four sides of the rug are serged for improved durability. I am surprised and pleased at the quality of these rugs, given the modest prices. I wanted a synthetic, rather than wool, but these really do have the look of good wool rugs and they are soft underfoot. The colors are deep and subtle. The rugs are weighty and substantial, with thick serged edges. The jute backing is good quality, not stiff and scratchy like some I've seen in inexpensive rugs. They arrived rolled, not folded, and they quickly flattened out. For people who worry about odor, these had almost none and what there was disappeared in a few hours. I bought these as a temporary solution, to protect a couple of areas of laminate flooring, but I'm sure now I'll use them for years. They look great, and I can see that wear and tear is not going to be a problem. (I bought two of these, the 2'3" x 3'11" and the 3'11" round, both in green. It looks fantastic and as advertised. One thing though and i can't blame it on the carpet itself - if you have a wooden floor, like i do, please get a two sided tape (available on Amazon like Avaeo creations double sided tape) to put it fixed on a spot , otherwise it won't be stable and will slip on the floor , even with a slightest foot movement on it. This will be really dangerous if you have kids in the household. ... show more

Great value, and quality. So soft and beautiful, colors are rich and vibrant. It’s not a very thick rug but it is very nice looking. I didn’t want a thick rug as I clean/wash them myself once a year due to kids and pets - cleaning a thick rug is more than I can handle. Doesn’t look or feel cheap at all. It will take a few days to lay completely flat but that’s pretty standard when buying a rug that has been rolled up for awhile. I got exactly what I wanted, I’m so happy! ... show more

I chose this rug after noting that it weighed 10 + pounds more than similar ones. Quality is superior and it is so beautiful seafoam blue, that I was tempted to put it in living room instead of the bedroom intended. It quickly flattened, and is thicker than similar ones. This rug is not the quality of a genuine Oriental rug which would likely cost 50 to 100 times as much. I didn't expect it to be. I also don't expect it to wear as well or last as long. But it's quite attractive and the design and its symmetry are rendered well. I ordered it on October 10, 2018 when the price dropped to the lowest it's been on Amazon, $61.96 (which oddly wasn't caught by the Camel, Camel, Camel Amazon price tracking tool). It's back up around $80 now but still worth it. I bought the Ivory 5'3" by 7'3" rug. Other sizes, shapes and colors may be more or less. If you want an Oriental rug but are daunted by the astronomical prices, this is the way to go. ... show more

This rug is way more beautiful than I thought it would be for the price. I’ve received so many compliments on it. It didn’t arrive with creases in it like other rigs I’ve bought elsewhere have. It flattened our very quickly. You can’t beat the price!
