My first attempt at using the WEHOME pressure cooker was a complete failure. The pressure release button was stuck so it couldn't build up pressure. After freeing up the pressure release with a screwdriver, the pressure cooker works fine. The WEHOME pressure cooker is heavy, solid and well made.     • A time saver tool in the kitchen!
A pressure cooker is a handy tool to have in the kitchen. It reduces the cooking time to less than 1/3 on the regular pots. I didn't calculate all grains, but the one I cook most often is garbanzo and it was ready within 7 minutes of the whistling time, then I let it cool off and voila` it was perfect! Make sure you don't overfill it though, that is not just a suggestion! It will sputter or leak because of how much steam and pressure builds up inside of it. The pot has a smooth and shiny finishing; it also looks sturdy and feels heavy. The lid is definitely the most important part of it, the locking system is innovative and it stays in place as it is supposed to. The valve is made to use its own weight to add pressure during the cooking time. The rubber part is white and thick, easy to clean and replace in the round extremity. It provides a good seal on the pot to maintain pressure. The only downside I found is the inside finish is quite rough and cleaning it to remove any food residue is not as easy as expected. I normally use other stainless-steel pots with a smoother surface inside, making the cleaning process just a regular hand washing. This however usually takes me three tries to get rid of the food marks. It's not so bad that it affects the quality of the food, and it is a trade off for how much time it saves me when I cook, so ultimately I am okay with it but it does knock a star off. I have never used one of these before so I had to to watch a few YouTube videos on how to use it so I didn’t mess up dinner. This is actually pretty cool!! It reduced my time cooking dinner a good chunk and for a busy mom of four that is super important. It made enough for my whole family of 6. The lid was pretty easy to get on and off which was what I was most nervous about. Overall, I am happy with it. It doesn’t take up a ton of space under my sink. It worked very well and was pretty easy to use. It makes enough for my whole family and I didn’t get hurt using it. I’d recommend it. ... show more

pressure cooker doesn't work, it takes me 2 hours to cook before it gets tender ,the water or juice evaporates

I have used pressure cookers in the past to prepare different types of food. This pressure cooker has more safety systems built in than the standard pressure cooker. It has the standard know at top, but it also has two back up buttons to release steam. The lid has a know that you twist to lock it into place. It has an inner ring safety seal that is removable to clean. It is easy to use. The bottom is thicker to allow for faster cooking. The weight is heavy, but not too heavy. Overall, this is a good quality cooker. The inside of the pot is also marked to prevent over filling. Be sure to pay attention when adding products that shed water during the cooking process. You will want to adjust how much water goes in before hand to prevent over filling. ... show more
