We decided to elope, so I needed to find a dress that could fit me right away, without preparing for months to get back into prepandemic shape. So at this time I was generally wearing size 16 clothing, and I am 5'8" tall. I ordered this dress in 18W. The bodice portion of the dress fit beautifully, and was adjustable due to the lace up back to provide a more custom fit. The quality of the dress was GREAT! The fabric, lace, beadwork, color - all were fabulous! The outer skirt does drape onto the floor as pictured, so it may seem long when you try it on, but if you want to have the ability to drape it out for pictures then that is exactly how it should be. The inner skirt was rather snug around the tummy, and was a bit too translucent for my liking, so I wore a loose long slip skirt in white underneath. I originally thought I would need this dress for a 6 month maternity wedding dress, but as mentioned we decided to elope. If you are planning on using this as a maternity wedding dress, I expect you will need to let out the inner skirt to accommodate the baby belly - so expect to need a seamstress' services and put that in your budget. Since our elopement was a destination wedding, I had to pack this wedding dress in my luggage. I turned it inside out, and rolled it tightly into about the size of a shoebox, and when I arrived and pulled it out to hang it up, it had no deep wrinkles and looked ready to wear after hanging it for about 10 minutes in a steamy bathroom. I also needed accessories that traveled well and wouldn't take a lot of packing space - so I purchased a fingertip length veil, slip skirt, hair accessory and foldable silver gem shoes, all from Amazon. Everything arrived in quick time, in great condition and quality, and meant my entire wedding outfit cost under $200 - but as you can see from the photos the ensemble looked perfect for our special day. I ordered this dress for a Moab elopement and it was perfect! It was exactly what I was looking for and made for beautiful photos. It was a tad tight, but it worked. I did try to order a size bigger but the bodice part was drastically so much larger- 5 inches bigger- which was way too big and gapped and was very ill fitting. I ordered this dress as a last minute lifesaver. The other dress I had received from a different company outside of Amazon FAILED DISATOROUSLY and was a total scam for 3 almost 4x the price! (DressAfford). Before I was pregnant, I was 140 pounds, 5 foot 6, and a size 5 in dresses. I am currently 8 months pregnant, ordered a size 12, at 180 pounds and the dress fits perfectly. Granted I miss my smaller frame and wish I looked like the model in the photos but couldn't be happier with finally having a dress for my wedding that is happening in less than 2 weeks! Amazon came though on this one FOR SURE! 2 day prime delivery. My bust size measured at 41 inches and I chose to go with a size 12. My upper waist is still small but of course I have the big belly, the bum, and thighs to go with my pregnancy. I was worried going with a size too far up that the shoulders would not fit and be saggy. I was right to stick with the lower size! The zipper goes up all the way, the corset back gives you room to size the bodice to your back, lower shoulder blades, and upper back. Only thing that is wrong, where the buttons come together at the base of the back of my neck folds and sticks out. Nothing a small bobby-pin won't fix! I can't stand reviews that aren't helpful! I hope this was detailed enough for all you ladies out there! Pregnant or not, I recommend sizing your dress based on your bust size and go with the number closest to what you measure at but don't go big and large or the arms will sag. The dress is so pretty online and I was excited to find a dress so inexpensive! Once I ordered a got an email saying based on my measurements I ordered too small. I was so nervous! When the dress arrived I was a bit disappointed in the packaging. Once I put the dress on I was elated that it was actually too big!! THEN I noticed all of the black “stuff” all over the dress. Turns out it is animal hair. I took the dress off to see if I could get the hair off with a lint brush... That is when I noticed all of the frays on the front of the dress. Not only frays but a tear too. And most disappointing was the breast part of the dress was actually a dirty grey color..I purchased a NEW dress and it looks dirty. So disappointed. My wedding is in 25 days and I loved the style of this dress. ... show more

The dress is gorgeous, wonderful material. The only thing I didn't love was that the strap that connects each shoulder strap at the base of the neck bunches up a bit. It likely is an easy fix, but I decided on another dress. This is by all means though a great value and is beautiful.
