You know how we all used to joke about particle board furniture being “cardboard” we’ll joke no more because these shelves are legitimately made out of cardboard, I can indent them with my fingernails the corners are all smooshed and curved from minor pressure. They are held together by wooden pegs and DOUBLE SIDED TAPE! Yes you heard that right, tape lol. Even with me using 6 screws in them instead of pegs as you can tell by the picture it still won’t hold together as the screws won’t grip onto the cardboard. We purchased these months ago and they’ve literally been sitting in square pieces under my son’s bed since then because they instantly fell apart. I’ve never felt more angry about a purchase in my life than these shelves. Selling them should be criminal. ... show more

This will work fine as long a you use a lot of glue. Do not depend on the peel away sticky tape to hold it together. It’s a good deal for the price. Very light, much lighter than 2 single boxes stacked.

I bought this shelf for my vinyl records which it does work great for but the shelf quality could be a lot better. It’s honestly very fragile and will come apart if moved the wrong way. But once it’s set up in the spot you want it to be then it works fine. Its put together by wooden peg type things (no screws at all) and adhesive so it’s kind of janky. Its probably really only worth $20 lol. ... show more

Unless you are handy and/or just strapped for cash, I’d recommend going a different direction. If this is all you can afford, just prepare to do a little work to make them work their best. I’m great with tools and a fairly skilled woodworking hobbyist. Unfortunately, I needed a quick solution to store some LP’s in our guest room, and this was the least expensive option I could purchase and get here before guests arrived. I was also intrigued by the design and hopeful since there are so many good reviews. I’ll be building my own replacements when time allows - I don’t trust this long-term. First, the dowels included are not long enough to properly do the job here, so I cut some 1/4” dowels of my own into 4” sections and used those instead. Secondly, I added some additional adhesive to help hold these units more solidly together. Even with this additional work, the unit’s just not very strong. Secondly, the veneer that has been applied to these panels doesn’t meet up properly at the edges, so the finish isn’t great at the edges. And the panels themselves don’t line up at the edges properly. I know what I’m doing and used my straight edge tools to square everything up, but there are still 1/4” gaps between the back pieces and the side pieces. Bottom line: these are worth $30 at most (I paid about $60), and even at that price, if I wasn’t in a time crunch, I’d be returning this. ... show more

This is literally cardboard held together with tape. It’s extremely flimsy. Records are heavy AF and this thing could not possibly support them without additional structural support. They suggest glue, but that barley helps. I ended up having to use both wood glue for the dowels and a bunch of ridged nails. Maybe if it was like 30usd it might be a solid cheaper option but this thing is 60-70 depending on the colour. Not to mention it’s very easy to damage. Mine came with crumbled corners and several dents. Lastly the pieces don’t even fit together well enough for the tape to even touch. The gaps are far too wide. 0/10 do not recommend ... show more
